Much happier taking the physical money out of the bank and putting it into my sealed pot at home. Maybe I'm old school but it works better for me this way.
I'm hoping I get the satisfaction of seeing the total go up every day! I will miss using the coins but I'm actively trying to avoid withdrawing so much cash (and I think my Mum would kick me out if I asked her to lug 2,362 coins down to the bank again with me!)xxx

This seems like a really interesting way to save money. I'd love to go on holiday next year and maybe this way I could save up for the cost. Could you sign me up please.0

Gonna go with the 'mix it up' method, determined to see it through!DEBT - £34,469 | £6,224.01 REMAINING - 81% PAID OFF. GETTING THERE0 -

Totally agree with you on that one - was also a problem for me the first couple of years I did this challenge. I got round this by putting monthly amounts in the tin so it was mostly notes and just a few odd coins. Much lighter and easier to handle.
Good luck with your saving - it really makes a difference once the festive season descends on us again. CazzieLT that's annoying regards your bank! I'm with Barclays and I can transfer any amount into my savings - never occurred to me they would limit it - I wonder why they have!
claremylove I must say I'm definitely with you on the physical money - I would not be able to resist temptation, I'm a terrible saver!
Well done CazzieLT, bigbeff, dizzybee, DJB343, and ME on deposits so far! A great start to the year!
I have potted the highest 7 amounts so far - I don't think I'll work backwards throughout the whole year, however I definitely wanted to get some of the higher ones out of the way sooner rather than later!
