Hi everyone! Are we all managing to pop our pennies aside still? I've been in hospital with coronavirus but luckily I had put aside a bulk amount for the whole month at the beginning of this month, so I'm up to date! Due to paying some from the top end and some from the bottom, my 1p challenge is currently sat at £166.17 which I'm very pleased with.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old Style, Crafting and Techie Stuff boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. #28 checking in.
I'm still plodding along with the challenge - strangely enough my ebay sales have increased since the lockdown so have marked off about £457 which I'm really pleased with. Got a similar amount that I need to pay off so there's no let up unfortunately.

UnseenGhost thanks, I'm vastly improved now but still very much recovering and signed off work still. Sadly it's a slow recovery time but I'm improving a little every couple of days I think so I'll get there!
I've just put into my pot all my entries up to the 27th June which brings me to £351 (I'm not totally doing in order) so more than halfway there. I've done it quite far in advance as what with being in hospital and off work so long I haven't earnt my usual overtime and as I had a bit extra this month I'm making sure I'm ahead of the game just in case!
Jacs205 great that you are still saving!
gettingtheresometime WOW that's brilliant! Great stuff on the eBay sales!

Hi all
#3 reporting with £42.16 added for the month of May (easier for me to do one lump sum each month than drip feed it over) so total now £114.76.
Might start trying to do a bit extra here and there so payments later in the year are a bit smaller but pretty happy with how I’m doing so far.0 -
I'm hoping to get to over the £100 by the end of the week, it grows pretty well these wee pennies here and there!

Hello, savers!
Oh elsiepac, I'm so sorry to read you got caught by this dreaded virus, but very pleased to read you are on the mend - slow and steady wins the race, just like with our savings! I hope you continue to get stronger. Hope everyone else is managing to keep themselves well too. What a horrible time to be going through.
On the plus side, I have been quietly plugging away with the challenge, have continued my backward saving and am proud to have a very nice £410.55 up to and including yesterday. Go us I say for continuing to build our funds even in such a weird world!

I have to confess that I have totally fell off the wagon with this challenge! 🙈 I had a bit of a nightmare start to the year and my brain went to mush! 😂
Anyway, I'm getting back on the wagon and am going to find the details of the account I set up for it - I will also raid my purse and jars for cash and hopefully make up a bit of ground - I'll report later on where I am with it all!!
Elsiepac, so sorry to hear you've been in hospital but I'm really pleased that you're on the mend now - hopefully you'll feel a lot better soon!

I totally stopped it a while ago, I had various different challenges working automated on my Monzo account going to different pots.
I diverted all the cash to knocking credit cards down to £0 instead, thought that would be the better thing to do and do a proper savings challenge next year instead, that been said I've still got a rainy day fund going and one for driving lessons so I'm still saving some cash at least and just concentrating any excess on paying a loan off quicker, so it's not all doom and gloom on my savings challenge0
