Phew, baby has now gone home and I have made a start on the tidying up!
    Walked the dog again
Got the washing in off the line, it has dried a bit, it was certainly worthwhile to put it out, as it was quite breezy and no rain today :T
Got an item ready for someone who is supposed to be collecting it. Hmm, wonder if they will??
    All food from home

    Not spent anything :A
Now got to tackle the washing up of doom, and our bedroom, which looks like a mob had a pillow fight in it :rotfl:
  • First chance to get on here. Family only went home today, it has been a whirlwind of activity, costly in parts but i hope everyones celebrations/ festivities have gone well.
Sending hugs to those not 100% at the minute, its okay not to be okay. When i was a youth worker years ago i used to say to the kids, real life is hard, u just dont realise it yet.

I had a minor procedure at the docs on the 23rd. Got home and realised things werent right with one of the cats. Long story short emergency appt to the vets, lots of meds with the idea of keeping him out of having to stay in and £110 lighter. There have been various battles with getting his meds down him esp as he is a solid 1 stone ginger tom.

Couldnt go as planned to friends on the 24th, i was on cat monitoring duties so DD took the presents and i cooked the meats for cold cuts. We had managed to pick up quite a bit of reduced items the evening of the 23rd when we popped to the supermarket and i used my savings stamps so cooked some extra bits up at the same time. Just the last of the turkey to sort tomorrow now. Pleased we didnt go overboard and the cold cuts have lasted us well.

Have done some sales shopping with DD. Thought the sales have been poor this year but we only went to a few shops where we live. Everything has been logged (must start my spends book again in january) and did start to put away items including christmas presents received but im so tired ive just given up tonight. Want to get abit more done tomorrow.

DD did manage to pick up boxes of quality street fruit creams for 50p. She got 8 in total which are tucked away. i will use throughout the year

First of the birthday presents for the new decade will need to be sent on monday-will use RM stamps for this.

It might be money saving for next year-cannot find 2 of DDs christmas presents anywhere. If i actually find them they might actually become 2020 presents. Did the blooming same this year only to find christmas 2018 presents at easter!!!!!!

Lol at your annoying lost presents, Happy Kitties. I think that can sometimes happen when you get your present shopping done & wrapped so early. I found this recently when I'd been thinking what to buy for my best friend who has a birthday quite early in the new year. I'd gradually been wrapping my Christmas presents & had some items left over which were a bit of a mystery. Then it dawned on me they were bought & put away for my friend's birthday & I'd completely forgotten about them. What a good job I didn't go out & buy something else! Anyway, if you find them, you'll have a heafstsrt on next year!

Just checking back in - hope everybody had a lovely time over the holidays. Am surprised there are any soles left on my shoes - have just walked and eaten - for the whole week away to see family and friends. And I am now tired, and tomorrow I just want to tidy up and sit in my bed and drink lots of coffee and not really talk to anybody.

    Morning all :)
((Hugs)) CLF, hopefully your visit goes better than you are expecting.

It is supposed to be fine today, so we are planning a walk this afternoon to start off our much needed new year fitness / weight loss ambitions!
    Other things:
I have folded the washing that was on the airer and put it ready for my brother to collect (this annoys OH, but an extra load of washing is nothing to me, and it helps him out. I don't iron it though!)
Another load of washing in the machine (ours this time, but with added baby clothes from yeterday :rotfl:), which will go out on the line once done. It partly dried, now finishing on airer
The item that was supposed to be picked up yesterday afternoon is apparently being picked up this morning. I am more surprised when FB selling site buyers do what they say they are going to do, than when they don't! It has been collected :T
No spending / shopping intended. I still have my list with 2 items on it, but they are not urgent or essential so can wait till the list is longer!
All meals will be from home. Dinner will be cold meat, jacket potato and salad. I will make some HM coleslaw to go with it :)
Made spicy carrot and lentil soup for lunch, to use up ageing carrots. Yummy, and there is enough for lunch tomorrow as well :T
I am going to take the decorations off the Christmas tree and put them away. The tree can then go back out in the garden (I tend to buy a small potted tree every so many years, and if it survives, and they usually do, it comes in year after year until it gets too big to fit, then it goes to DD1 who plants it out in their woodland). I usually have to repot them a couple of times over the years, but try to keep the roots confined to prevent it growing too fast. It wont be repotted this year. Done, it looks happier already :)
Listed a small ebay item, and it sold within 10 minutes. Must find a box and pack it ready for posting.

  • Morning guys :D carrie sorry you're feeling stressed over famalam visit. Hopefully it'll be better than you thin....

oh has just left to collect madam - so that's 2 hours of peace :D going to have a bath with lush bomb and read :D

    i have:
    tidied round
    load of washing on
went through fridge divided up and froze thing that won't be used today ;)
put away washing that was mounting
collected up xmas cards and decided which ones to cut up for xmas tags for next yr. The others i have put to one side to do a collage with madam later ;)

yesterday i saw cream was going to turn (was thickened and curdling in coffee) so i froze in ice cubes to use in pasta sauces ;)

Not sure what our plans are today when oh & madam get home. out with dog. He's being collected tea time.

i want to put away decs and give lounge a speedy once over

Possibly an old friend is coming over this evening. But he's given to being flaky so there's a strong chance it won't happen....

Hope you're all having a lovely relaxing & peaceful time

The training the children usually go to on a Sunday morning has been cancelled along with a group dd goes to on Sunday afternoon. Another regular Sunday activity is meal planning for the week, we already planned up to the 6th :j

Today's plan is to keep it simple so more time for fun, games, relaxing and indulging in Christmas treats.

    Today's list:

    :snow_grin Put away presents
