  • Up at stupid o'clock - a mixture of termtime body clock and forgetting to switch off the phone alarm, so I couldn't drift back off again. Idiot.

Considered going to the supermarket early, but as himself was supposed to be [strike]suffering[/strike] coming with me, I waited for him to wake up. The muppet dropped his mobile on his foot yesterday, so now has a toe that's a fetching shade of black - I expect that he didn't sleep too well. Managed to be snoring both long before I went to sleep and long after I got up, though. He eventually limped down two hours after we were supposed to be leaving and insisted upon coming - I was nearly out the door when he surfaced.

Sent him back home after twenty minutes, got him some socks (unfortunately, M&S don't do armour plated ones) and some posh boxers (in the hope that he won't keep the remaining ones with embarrassing holes), then came back.

He's cleaned the kitchen (sort of) and vacuumed, I've done nowt other than clean the loo, as I'm now having to get up early tomorrow to hit the posh green shop first thing in the morning.

I think tomorrow is going to be a much busier day for me.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

    Morning :santa2:

Good to see you froddington :D I was wondering how you were xx Have a Christmas hug from me

My friend, Le, (to distinguish from L :D ) texted to ask if she could pop over last night - but she would have S with her - her latest fella. Remember I still have CHAOS. I was in the middle of a manic half hour at the end of the paid stuff so I replied 'ok'. Le is one of the few people allowed through the door - but a new person . Anyway I greeted them at the door and warned S that I was losing in a game of Jumanji so the house is a tip! Showed me what progress has been made this year - there were seats for four adults to sit comfortably and no-one had to step over anything to get to them. :T

Paid stuff today until 4.30 pm. Then cider o'clock while I wrap the last few presents for DS. Better go steady though as DS is quite likely to come home and ask for a lift to the pub. Orrrrr - he could drive there and leave his car in town, and we'll pick it up tomorrow ;) hic. We'll see :D

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas however you choose/ have to spend it.

Stuff the dust for a day, eh?

    Much love
    Rxx

    Hi froddy

Yesterday I tidied the utility (froglet job) :j
I also finished all the present wrapping last night, so the study bedroom is now almost clear for the grandchildren (not coming until Saturday)

OK, my list for today is doable:
    - remove joint from freezer
    - ring hospital at 8.00 to rearrange an eye appointment for me that clashes with an important orthopaedic one for DH that he had arranged just two hours before I received my appointment letter by email - bad timing!
    - finish preparations for carol service
    - decorate the tree (in DR)
    - hang up lights in LR and kitchen
    - put up all the cards (Flylady cards are already displayed on the kitchen windowsill)
    - clean all through downstairs
    - take Rosie for a walk
    - sleep for an hour after lunch
    - go to 2 carol services
    - cook (5 min) and eat tea
    - ice the cake
    - make mince pies, and test them
    - grab another snooze before Midnight service ;)

Hope that everyone has a good day, and that those who have to go to work don't get stuck in traffic on the way home xx

Morning all. I've not been up long so have done nothing except have a cuppa and I had planned to be at the supermarket for 7am. Also have a little niggle headache so I'll nip that in the bud. Must check paracetamol supplies too.

The house is the cleanest it's been in a long time. Rage cleaning works, but normal demeanour is now restored.

I'll be prepping veg etc today and clearing kitchen sides to set up a mini bar for people to help themselves. Later it's our annual family trip to the cinema which we've now done for nearly 30 years.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Lovely to see you Frodders!

There is only DD and me at home this morning so I made my cuppa and took it back to bed with my book. An early Christmas present to me!

Now I’m regretting the lie in as I remember everything that I want / need to do today. I’ve started with wm x 1, folded clean washing, sorted the airing cupboard and now I really do have to wrap some presents.
Other things on the list include:
    Wash hair
Make more mince pies - and then I’m liking iona’s task of tasting them too as the last 2 batches have disappeared somewhere without me seeing.
Make more sausage rolls - ditto mince pies above.
S&s bathrooms - token flying from the list :D.
