    Oh the irony!

If I'd received court letters I would have contested the case, as I wasn't sent any how would I do that?

That is one of the joys of becoming a single parent, I got the children and the marital home until the children are adults, which I wish to sell now but can't
She on the other hand claims everything she can, because she can

But the only way I can see the council putting her up in a council house is if she doesn't have a house. As long as she's on the deeds (and since she's stopping you from selling it she must be) then she does have one.

    Just seems, improbable.

OP has removed the original post so it makes no sense to anyone now - not that it did with the original post included...

Should I steal some shirt buttons to pay these extortionate charges? just curious you know
I cannot sell the property as the co owner will not give permision and as I am not working, with what should I pay?

    Hi,

As a few posters have already communicated to you, as you live abroad, enforcement of these CT charges is extreamly unlikley, they will just wait it out until the house is sold, however, if that does not happen anytime soon, they may be able to force sale of the house by obtaining an "order for sale".

Now these are very rare, and only agreed too by a court under certain specific circumstances, but as the house is unoccupied, it may be the view of the court that it is warrented, so may go ahead.

It would also depend if your ex is paying there share, or not.

You can just allow this to naturally progress, theres no point in fighting it, in my opinion you should obtain legal advice, the Legal Beagles uk website is a good place to start.
