    Evening all

Horrible journey home here too. So much rain, so many puddles.

Wm x 1 run and loaded again for the morning. Bedding on our bed stripped this morning and remade this evening. Kitchen tidied. A present needed for tomorrow has been wrapped. Now I just need to remember to take it with me tomorrow.

That’s about it. I might even read the lists in a minute...

IT'S THE HOLS WOOTY WOOTY WOOT WOOT WITH (JINGLE) BELLS ON

I have broken up as it's my Thursday 'off':D:D:D:D

:oShame I feel a bit under the weather.

Piggers - it's very bad practice not to issue receipts (we've now gone onto e-payment so no longer an issue) - to protect the office staff from accusations as well as record keeping.

  • Morning all,

Or should I be saying bonjour Valli, you're spot on although you mainly hear "Bonne journ!e" when out and about.

Fortunately for me the French send New Year greetings cards and you have until the end of January to do it. So as I had my official ceremony to become French in Feb 2019 I think I will use that as an excuse for all my late Christmas cards. They are still in the desk and I need to write a news letter to include for distant relatives.

I must admit last week I was all up for cancelling Christmas all together as fed up with strikes and demonstrations here and it was looking very complicated to get everyone home. Things are looking a bit better now and DD1 has got a couple of days off over Christmas so can now join us.

Hugs and thoughts to all of you struggling and worrying.

Just written a long to do list, I won't post it on here as I prefer to post what I've done as it makes me realise that I do actually get some stuff done even if it's not always what is on the list.

    Up, dressed
    WM 1
    Washing up done

Better stop waffling and get on with something, anything!

    Good morning

Last day at job 2 today. It’s a good job too as I’m struggling to kick myself into gear. I’ve just looked at the bags with the few (still unwrapped) presents that I’ve bought in, and shut the door on them. It’s a good job that DD is older and no need to hide anything!!

I’ve just wasted 20 minutes of valuable flying time doing absolutely nothing productive. DH’s parting shot this morning was that we could go food shopping together on Saturday morning!! My idea of a nightmare at any time of year.

    Off to paid stuff now.
    Hugs all round.

    Thank you Natty x

I was awake at 5.30, made myself a cuppa, drank it, read a few pages, and went back to sleep until 9.00. Not a lot achieved since then!

I hope to get some lights up outside before midday  DH may or may not be ready to come and help me.
Funeral and visit to a friend in a care home this afternoon, then carol singing c/o MrS.
I have cleared about half the pile of papers in the study bedroom ;)
