    Morning :santa2:

Taking a little time out to gather my wits before starting the day. Tree lights are on, curtains are still shut, and I'm cocooned with my cuppa in the quiet [STRIKE]chaos[/STRIKE] oasis of my living room. :D

I brought down the laundry hamper and plonked it in front of WM. Flylady cards are all lined up on the kitchen window sill and were smiled at while the kettle boiled :heartsmil

I've opened my bedroom window and made my bed. I've watered my peace lily.

The priority this weekend is to get everything wrapped. I'm going to have another cuppa, set WM swishing, then pull out all the presents and work out who I bought what, or is that what I bought who? :D

Might fit getting dressed in there too :)

    Love to all

  • Well, the dining room still looks like a bomb's hit it, but maybe it's a smaller bomb now.

Today's tasks, rearrange the bedroom after putting the flat pack together; pop to the previous house to fill holes and pick up post/papers. Then find a pathway which makes it quicker to catch the bus for the Paid stuff.
  • Morning all
Lots done this morning, DH was out last night for mad Friday, I couldn't think of anything worse, I was asleep by 8.30!

WM on with a cleaner in, food caddy emptied into compost bin and washed out, dog walked, bottles ready for recycling. Off I go into the village now have fab days all xx

No rain this morning, so the first job must be to put up the remaining lights outside, then I can put the empty boxes away off the DR table, extend the table, and set up the Christmas tree on it. The two of us eat in the kitchen, and when the family come we're having lunch out and only a buffet here. Having cut down my LR bookshelves from 6ft to 3 ft, I have a corner where I can put up some some twigs with lights and a few baubles, leaving more floor space for growing grandchildren ;)

    Also on today's list:
    - send off evaluation form for recently completed course
    - send off comments on recently completed pilot review process
    - sort and file the final 1" pile of papers in study
    - paint study bedroom dormer ceiling where the rain leaked in (we had the flat roof repaired in the summer)
    - get bags ready for tomorrow morning
    - prepare 2 carol services
and a million other things...
...but I'm getting there - and if necessary most of the wrapping can wait until Christmas Day as we're not seeing the family until next Sunday :D

(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed. Hope everyone has a good weekend xx

    Good morning

There is blue sky and sunshine!

I’ve been on the early shift to Mr M as seems to have become the norm recently. Heaving instead of the usual Lull Before the Storm atmosphere. DH insisted on coming “to help” - needless to say that I spent half the time trying to find him and keep him in line. It’s like having a toddler but without the reins. :rotfl:

Back home and shopping has been squeezed into cupboards and fridges. Apart from the 8  boxes of cheese crackers that DH slipped into the trolley. Apparently we can live off them if we get snowed in.
    Today’s plan is - actually I don’t know:
Wrapping (sorted out the presents last night before watching a cheesy Christmas film as I was home alone)
    Ironing
    Bathroom cleaning.

First to rehouse all the lost crackers of the world that are on the kitchen table....

I'm sure that I posted after ionafan and before Fayolle - I can even remember what I wrote, but it's not there :( Gone to the great cyber-black hole I suppose.

My bedroom looks like Santa's grotto :) I've worked out what is for who and made a start on the wrapping - 6 done, 35 to wrap :D Good thing I like wrapping!

    I've also:
    fed the birds
put out the rubbish & recycling
    WM x 3
wrapped the presents DS has bought for GF

toasted cheese sandwich for lunch nom nom and The African Queen on the telly :D

Nmm- I turn the freezer off, leave the drawers in and put old towels round the bottom. Let it all melt, empty the drawers and give it all a wipe.

I have done quite a bit on the presentation, done all dailies, two dog walks, hoovered and mopped downstairs floors, washed sofa covers, cleaned microwave, and sandwich toaster and completely emptied and cleaned the deep fat fryer.
Spend less now, work less later.
