Washer delivered (by OA (anagram)) and plumbed in. By yours truly. *glow*. First load in.

I am here, but DH is now off until the New Year, so my plans have all gone up the swanny...

Not much flying or anything constructive done yet although I have just decluttered a large chunk of apple and cinnamon cake with cream (after an hour-long dog walk).

The woodburner is on and has been since 7am as it was super frosty this morning - my van looked very pretty - almost like it had been dusted in glitter :heart2: I love winter!

Well done Valli. For (well under) £5 SS I suggest a mug with low-syn hot chocolate sachets or fruit tea bags.

Singing carols this morning and again this afternoon. Have cleared some dry washing out of the bathroom, though not yet FUPA properly. I have done our annual photo sheet to go with/instead of Christmas cards. Also walked Rosie - so now we're back, the sun has come out.

DH has not had a good morning at SW :(

Mustn't forget to call at PO on my way home. Tonight: write remaining cards and reclaim the coffee table.

Washer now on third load ; dryer running too, in an effort to clear teetering pile of dirty laundry.

    Halfway round kitchen...

Ionafan - thank you for the suggestion. I feel a trip to B&M coming on (a lurking flylady has also messaged me) so a couple of good idea there,

Lurkers PLEASE DELURK - we miss you!

  • Hi all

Tried to post earlier this week and ended up deleting it, I didnt want to be miserable with all the Christmas preparations going on but I dont want to just disappear off the thread as I have many dear friends around here. DS1 has been diagnosed with Lymphoma and will very likely spend Christmas in hospital having chemotherapy.

The Lymphoma is treatable, and there is a very good chance he will make a full recovery, but my whole world has been turned upside down. We will have a Christmas of sorts, DS2 is coming home, but it will be quiet and low key. Flying is surprisingly easy because its just me and DH and we are spending most of our time in hospital.
  • Oh YL darling I'm so so sorry. Much love PM me if I can do ANYTHING at all I'm only an hour away xx

Oh YL how scary for you all; so pleased to hear it's treatable. GWS vibes for DS.
