Weekly Flylady Thread 16th December 2019

Morning all.

Well DH is back working this week (phew) after his week on holiday. Although he's only working at home today then has his Christmas dinner at the school, that's he's chair of govs at, tomorrow so will be at home for the morning. Then I think he's actually at his office in London for two days... Although I'm actually out at meetings those two days..lol But at least I benefit from having the house to myself.

Have put all my Christmas cards up this morning as well as a spattering of decs.
Oh and the pet's stockings are hanging up - got to get priorities right..lol
Sorted out the Flylady cards to post tomorrow. Labels all printed up and ready to stick on packages Flylady packages.

I have all cards except MinnieMousesMummy Hopefully they'll arrive today.

Major tidy up in lounge needed as we had to move stuff out of the kitchen while laying the floor. Things back in kitchen or flung..but somehow lounge looks a tip..lol

Tree laying on floor so I'll get that up today, wrap the lights round beforehand obviously lol Then shall decorate it tomorrow :A

Right now breakfast and a cuppa is called for. Hugs to all.

Hooray, the wrapping is done, just need to post parcels later today.

Having breakfast. After I'm dressed I'll walk the dogs via the vet to pick up their flea stuff.

2 christmas parties, 2 drs appointments, a hospital appointment, Nativity, carol concert, Tesco delivery, Veg/fruit box delivery. 16 school runs and a mountain of wrapping.

Still haven't got out with the dogs, just having another cuppa, but I have hoovered downstairs, changed the bedding and kind of dusted the dressing table.

Oh well so much for my plans today. I've now got to try and get my mother in law into a dementia care home as soon as possible. I have had the police on the phone again re her which isnt good. Have had a a neighbour, who has been keeping an eye on M.I.L for us ringing us to tell us what my mother in law has been doing and how she really is. Hence why I am chasing my !!!!! trying to talk to people and get something done quickly. She wont go in willingly so we have to get the Dr or someone to admit her, if it comes to it I'll ring the emergency services myself.

I'm in the middle of filling out the PoA and getting that sorted so at least we can sort out the finances etc.

I am also trying to keep it strong for DH who is deteriorating again with his illness. He didnt get a good review at his consultant's yesterday, so he's on a stronger dose of methotrexate and feeling really ill. So obviously he isnt up to dealing with all this stuff with his mum. His brother is burying his head so he'll just be told what is happening when it happens. Plus he is blaming work all the time for not seeing his mum - says they wont let him have time off or its too dear to visit. :mad:

Then on top of that I have my own mental health suffering with other stuff and the ongoing accusations at my old place of work.

Sorry it's long, I'm now going to shut myself in a darkened room and wait for more phone calls that I'm waiting for..:eek:

Achievements so far today:
- S&S'd kitchen
- tidied DH's bed and opened the curtains
- went with him to the GP - who has told him to take regular doses of painkillers so that he can get more exercise :rotfl: (DH is a stubborn hard nutcase)
- delivered 3 out of 4 Christingles
- bought the bird for Christmas Day and made space for it in the freezer by eating a slice of cake :eek: and putting the remaining slice in a smaller box
- drank coffee and ate lunch whilst doing a bit more towards our annual missive - mostly photos again this year

Now I must take Rosie for her walk (it's not raining :j) and be ready for my friend coming at 2.00 to do my nails

I'm in this week or at least need to be.

I think I've done the presents, or all the difficult ones anyway. Just need some girly table presents but will probably ask DD1 to pick me up some bits.
Car was serviced and MOTd today, all well except the price but hey ho.

Got home to message from old relative saying can OH please call back asap. After a major panic type swhose died, I rung back as OH away to discover they are just looking for an au pair. Oooof panic over so now having a glass of red, don't normally drink when OH away but felt I deserved it and the bottle was open from yesterday.

Working all day tomorrow and Wednesday so won't get much done but then will need to fly or rather soar.

Decorations brought in so will try and get that done tonight and tomorrow night.
