  • Relatively peaceful day at the paid stuff. The peak of the multiple plagues seems to have passed and there are quite a few kids back in school who are looking significantly thinner than they did a fortnight ago.

Got back to find Himself actually cooking a half decent meal [strike]no veg but at least there were potatoes[/strike]. I've frowned at the mountain of damp clothes piled up on one another on the clothes horse, but he's had the heating on most of the day by the feels of it, so they shouldn't start smelling musty. Especially when I mention it to him in a minute.

Our Christmas planning involves him hopefully doing some cleaning tomorrow - the vacuum needs running around at the very least - and then a bit of veggie shopping at first sparrowfart on Saturday morning when he's at work and then some more on Xmas Eve/whenever he can be dragged along. I might even persuade him to go to a carol service for a change.

Other than that, it'll be clean kitchen, clean bedroom, the bathrooms take just minutes and the hall/stairs landing are always perfectly tidy, they just need vacuuming. Oh, and the wicker hamper type thing that was supposed to be thrown out last week was put down instead of in the bin by *somebody* - with the result that Idiot Cat has commandeered it as his favourite place in the world since it was put directly over His Spot where the central heating pipes cross under the landing carpet - so I suspect that'll be there for the next six months now.

Actually, I might go and pester him now. He's easily had an hour to himself since I came in after ten of them during the day.

Definitely feeling a bit battered and worn thin at the moment, though - I realised yesterday that I seem to have one leg shorter than the other at present, which tallies with how my back feels like it's 'locked' into my hip on one side. Been looking at local osteopaths as a result - think I'm going to make an appointment with the one I can remember being round - gulp - TWENTY EIGHT YEARS AGO when I was a teenager with horrendous back and neck pain. I figure that if he was going to do anybody any real mischief, he would have closed down years ago.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

    Morning all.

My diary is being changed daily. Some appointments going in, others coming out due to other people's illnesses. Today I have a doctors appointment, then exercise class and two festive get togethers with friends.

Need to fit in the dailies and dog walking and get some ironing out of the way at the very least.

Cleared a frog report last night as I was running out of time before a meeting only to find an email this morning to say it's cancelled.

    Have a great day everyone.

That's probably all the flying that'll get done here today. Busy day, lots of silly bits to do too and they are demonstrating this afternoon (I work on the route so it will be very noisy and probably kids missing in the groups)

    Off to work

So glad it’s not just me!!

Up and at ‘em this morning. I think I’ve peaked though. Wm x 1 done. Next load ready for later. DD’s bedding changed. Dinner out from freezer for tonight. And .... drum roll please ..... floors finally swept and mopped.

Off to work for the morning as extra as I need to leave early later in the week. Then it’s dash to big town for a haircut and straight on to small town to pick up DD and hopefully the few lingering bits in my lists. That’s the plan but at least twice today I am supposed to be in 2 places at one time. It’s a skill I need to practice.

Oh and DH might be about to be made redundant. I’m not even thinking about that atm until it / if it happens.

    Have a lovely day all.

    morning all

message to say my washer will be delivered this morning - between 9:58 and 12:58(?) so have had tp shuffle what I would have done this morning to Friday; this also fits in with Monday's trip to Lancashire for my Uncle's funeral.

Showered, breakfast scoffed. Pots soaking in sink as I eat/type.

Need a £5 Secret Santa for a SW get together on Thursday. Any suggestions appreciated.
