How long does it take to walk 7 km?
You do so much MT. I am "supposed" to be training for a 10km. That in itself is hilarious. I am not remotely fit at all
 XXNevertheless she persisted.0

Hi Buffy - according to Strava it took 90 mins to walk but it was a bit of an amble at times
Good luck with the 10k - the training is a bit of a slog sometimes isn't it?
Monday was absolutely knackering - really busy day at work with lots of kids and people just doing my head in - sometimes it's just really demanding and you want to scream! But today was equally busy but much calmer. Had a two hour meeting after school though so it was still a bit of a long day. Never mind it's done now.
Can't see me being late to bed tonight. Just feel worn out, done two dog walks since being home (a long one and a trot round the block after tea) and had a bath a done about an hour of work but have given up for the day now.
The good news is that it's pay day tomorrow- hurrah!0

A much better day today - mostly due to having 7 hours of sleep, unheard of for me
Work was mad busy (when isn't it??) but I managed to leave just before 4, came home and took the dog for a 3km walk then went straight o the gym before I talked myself out of it and did a quick 5km run. It's funny that I think of that distance as a quick run now...just shows the difference that a couple of months makes
My headteacher asked me to enrol on a headship qualification course today and is being my supporting mentor so I suppose that shows his confidence in me and has given me a bit of a professional lift. It will be a shed load more work over the next year but hopefully worth it in the end. I don't want to be a head but it will help with future deputy positions.
It's pay day today so after I've had tea and walked the dog again I'll sit down and do the usual banking, paying bills, transferring money to savings etc.
Will report back later on what I'm doing money wise.0

Honey - I've already done the NPQSL so it's the NPQH. Quite excited in a "God, that's lots of work" kind of way 0 0

            Thank god it's Thursday!!
Had the most boring 4 hour meeting today about a new software system - was like an out of body experience at times - never been so bored in my life!
Lots of meetings and a bit of teaching thrown in for good measure and I was more than ready to come home at 4.30.....
Have walked the dog twice (forgot to get cash for the dog walker so had to go out again for a longish walk after tea), had a bath and a tidy round and now I'm trying to convince myself to do an hour's work. It's not working though but it needs to get done
Did the banking yesterday and have managed to put nice chunks of cash into the holiday, house and garden, Xmas and general savings accounts. Also paid off the £50 on the credit card, made payments to the loan, Next etc and set up the new car tax direct debit. It's the last month of council tax so for the next two months I'll have an extra £110 to pay off something, probably the loan or to pay off the holiday a bit early.
I've given myself a grocery budget of £180 for the month but hope to spend less, and a spending budget of £300 for absolutely everything else. Petrol, hair appointment, vet and the dog walker have been budgeted for and the cash put in a separate account. There's also a contingency of £100 in another account that hopefully can get transferred to savings if not used. It's a 4 week month so isn't a really long one thankfully.
Right, that work won't do itself.....0

            It's Friday!!!! Thank the Lord!
What a week - literally haven't stopped. Work is mental at the moment and next week will be no different. My days are booked solid from 7am to 5pm and there's a parents evening on Thursday just to rub salt in the wound...,
I'm not thinking about it until Sunday so there!
I do have loads of work to do this weekend but am having an evening off at least.
Came home fairly early (Friday's are like a ghost town after 3pm in school) and before I sat down I decided to get some things done so I don't have to think about them tomorrow.
So, I've walked the dog for 4km to try to tire him out a bit (he's snoozing now but it probably won't last!), then hoovered and dusted the whole house, cleaned the wooden floors, sorted the bins and recycling, cleaned the kitchen, scrubbed the three bathrooms/toilets, tidied the bedroom, put a load of washing on, cleaned the patio doors and gave all the dog's bowls a good soak and scrub. Finally sitting down in a spotless house feeling quite virtuous
Have also checked the banking, no surprises and it was nice to see a zero balance on the credit card
Tomorrow will be a fairly busy day starting with a dog walk then a visit to the gym for a longish run and cycle, row etc, need to do a smallish food shop and then am joining the women's group for a good walk mid afternoon. Looking forward to that as the weather looks quite nice.
The rest of this evening will revolve around making something nice for tea, walking the dog quickly again, a soak in the bath and some telly. Peace and quiet and no thinking about work for one night 0 0

Well, I've had a successful Saturday morning.
Walked the dog first thing - it was like an ice rink so decided to go to the gym to run rather than outside.
Managed a full 10k with no walking at all
It was a day of triumphs....
 Fastest 5k in years
 Fastest 10k ever
 900 cals burned
 Lost 2lbs
BMI now down by over 2 full points since starting the regime
Lost almost 10lbs in total and 5kgs of body fat
The hard work is paying off now - I struggled to run a full 5k before Xmas so I can see real progress.
I must admit that my calves are killing me now though
I'm going on a walk with the women's group and the dog this afternoon - hope it's only about 5k as I don't think I could go much further - done 17000 steps already today.
On the way back from the gym I did a food shop and so I'm ready for the week now. £44 spent but that did include 24 cans of diet coke for the week, a face mask, menopause vitamins and some toiletries and about three tons of dog food so not too bad overall I suppose.
Have had a soak in the bath and done the face mask - just need to get my hair dried and then I'm ready for the walk. It's now a lovely bright sunny cold day so a bit of fresh air will do us good. Will sleep tonight (hopefully...)0

30,000 steps today! Pooped now. Am sitting down for the rest of the evening. Great walk with the ladies though.0
