Only you have the answers to those questions.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

That's very helpful, thankyou. Can I bring this case into the court at this late stage?

Build it in to your WS if you wish - you decide.  But do realise that it isn't precedent setting, nor even persuasive on other Judges, just a bit of information about another court case in some other part of the country.

But it was a considered opinion by a  brother/sister judge whom your judge may have met.

Maybe, I was merely stating the facts, not speculating. No harm in the OP adding to the WS - as long as they are aware of the status. We have so many thinking that a small town, small court case decision has 'landmark' application.

  • The WS has been submitted in order to reach the court in time. Hence my question whether it's permissible to cite this after the WS has been put in.

That;'s true, we've all seen way too many films!
  • There's nothing stopping you filing a Supplementary WS a few days before the hearing, such as to respond to the Claimant's WS and to mention some other things which support your defence. (You would also serve your SWS on the C at the same time as filing with the court).

    Thankyou - I've done so!
  • The case was dismissed, as the parking company had not shown any evidence of signage to state the parking costs, and in addition there was not evidence of how big the signs were, whether they were clearly lit in situ etc.

I was awarded the £95 - many, many thanks to everyone who helped and advised me on this.
