1. DO NOT PUT OFF TO TOMORROW WHAT CAN/SHOULD BE DONE TODAY2. WRITE AND USE “TO DO LISTS”
3. LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I ENTERED
4. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
5. WHEN DEALING WITH CLUTTER I WILL USE ‘Daisy1571’s idea of ‘WHAT WOULD I DO WITH THIS ITEM IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE’S?
So difficult to cut & paste without getting the grey box numerous times 👿 so the above has been copied from a second opening of the Decluttering Thread 😆 😡
Hope everyone is keeping safe in the horrendous windsOne of our neighbour’s has gone around the close & requested our filled wheelie bins to prop up his fence 😜 🤞
I have had to tie the lid back onto the wormery but touch wood that will be the extent of my wind ‘damage’ Only other ‘issue’ is that I was going to go to sm to pick up a few bits e.g. potatoes 😮 To enable us to have a roast dinner 😆 Will have to cook something elseas I am not venturing out
unfortunately that means I have no excuses - so writing the rest of the birthday cards is next!

I had to smile Nicnak 😊 Your daughter sounds great 👍 You are more than welcome for your gold starYou are definitely motoring 👏
🤞 Makethedayscount - hopefully you are inspired to be a decluttering demon 😆
You are an optimist bit by bitI really am not a fan - all the useful bits of the old platform seem to have vanished into the ether & have been replaced with a complicated mess 😖 Well done on the decluttering 👏
Keep up the good work oceanspirit 👏
Naughty, naughty TC77 - cleaning & tidying is a big part of decluttering- so well done 👍

Used up some bodylotion at last... thought I might manage to use up the shower gel too, but there's still some left! That's then the last shower gel and I'm swapping to soap, so less packaging cluttering up the house and the bins.11

I hope everyone is safe on this horrible day ☹️. DH has deferred his 7 garage items until tomorrow as the tip is closed and he wants to stay indoors. I have therefore commandeered him to help fuel my decluttering obsession! We have cleared the stack of books on a trunk in our living room and around 30 books are going to the second hand bookshop tomorrow. The trunk is also emptied of the ‘junk’ that was in it with three bags of recycling and two of rubbish. The soup was made and eaten today as a visit to DGS was more tempting than making it yesterday!More to follow- a windy day is a gift to the declutterer!Stay safe everyone

Thanks Salad Dodger.
She is a smart cookie and is definitely on to me. She has started hiding things so I know she knows it is coming. We have done a couple of her bits, but she keeps moving things around so I can't keep track of which drawer of hers has been done.
I carried on just with a few things
1 old lip gloss thing that was little ones
3 tea lights used up
1 shower gel used up
1 combined the gravy so one pot gone
5 gloves that have no pair (5!!- mostly little ones)
11+ 1097 = 1108. x

Starting afresh.

Here goes with first attempt on the new forum. It is a real shame that it's hard to see which posts I've thanked, as that was my way of checking how far I'd read up to as well.Second phase of my clearance sale going well, 26 kilos of post this week, bringing total for YTD to 146.5. Two large cardboard boxes emptied, along with one 9L and one 4L really useful box.24 cards made this week, bringing total for YTD to 96.Today I totally decluttered my camera roll folder on the computer, organising all the photos into more sensible folders. Now I won't have to scroll through a couple of thousand pics to see the latest ones added, and hopefully will keep it clear by filing the pictures as they come in.15

I forgot what the items were now, as the forum was down when I came to post and I didn't save the updated thing in notes, there was some old craft fair leaflets (when I say some we're talking packs of 250
), some candles that now smelt iffy, and a coat.. I got up to 15! Decided I'm only going to post in multiples of 5 to keep counting a little easier.
The coats a funny one actually. Way back 15+ years ago my mum tried to sent her old coat to the jumble sale, my gran comes home "I found a great coat", some how when my gran died said coat ended up back at our house in the tardis room, when I pulled it out of my craft room mum thought I'd saved it ( I didn't! ) and said it's haunting her haha. So fingers crossed it has gone for good this time!
I'm home all week so hopefully lots to add to the list this week. Hope everyone had a good weekend and didn't get blown away!I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....12 -
