  • 12 kilos of business mail has gone out this week bringing total for year so far to 95 kilos, another box emptied in the stock room. I did have a minor panic at one point as I misplaced a few sheets that had been rehomed when emptying a previous box. Fortunately I did manage to find them and put them at the front of a box so easily seen instead of buried in the middle, which had been a bit of a daft thing to do!

I'm not getting rid of the empty boxes as I have quite a bit of stock lurking downstairs in a corner of the living room which has been sorted and ready to be made up into kits, so will gradually start bringing that upstairs, making up the kits & refilling boxes. Also, I have been recycling a few of my stock room boxes by cutting them down a bit & repurposing them for personal craft stash storage.

Recycled an old cat flap box from the garage - it is a (double) garage of doom atm, but think I will wait for longer days to really get stuck in to that.

Bin day tomorrow, so have filled a big sack with long expired stuff from kitchen cupboards - the oldest dating back to 2011! My main downfall there was buying stuff from Approved Foods - which I have found really good for sauces & flavourings etc, but far to easy to go overboard with, so I have avoided them in the last couple of years.

I have been crafting and made 7 more cards this week, total for year so far 27. Not that many this week, but I have been doing a lot of paper chopping after being inspired by a few designs that I've seen on Facebook & Pinterest, so I've put together bases for a lot more. When going through my 6 x 6 pads, I weeded out 10 that I doubt I'll ever use, so they can go in a bundle onto eBay.

Not done much in the way of decluttering this week, as my day off was spent cooking for the newly defrosted freezer. Although I had scraped as much as I could from a large marmite jar so I half filled it with hot water and decluttered the melted remains into the soup I was making.

I have found a a large rectangular plant pot in a cupboard and planted salad leaf seeds to grow on the window sill for the lunchtime salads in the future.

I have chucked more away - just not purposely gone through cupboards and actively decluttered - i have generated extra rubbish ( put a couple of bags in next doors bin, as house is empty but going on the market soon).

I have 1 days holiday to take for the financial/holiday year, I told my boss to put it wherever was convenient, so I have an extra day off next week, so no excuse for not doing some sorting out.. I still have a week booked for March so more decluttering.

We had our weather beaten and blown down fence replaced this week, we replaced the lot and got it done properly with a concrete base and posts, the workman took away all the old destroyed panels (any other repairs we have had we have always been left to break down and dispose of the damaged panels and posts) so money decluttered from my bank account. Hopefully a good investment as fence normally rots from the bottom due to being planted in permently wet soil and eventually when the wind gets to it goes from the bottom up.

I still have charity donations in the dining room (as hubby had no time to take them on saturday) so will add stuff to the pile to make his trip worthwhile next week.

    1. DO NOT PUT OFF TO TOMORROW WHAT CAN/SHOULD BE DONE TODAY
    2. WRITE AND USE “TO DO LISTS”
    3. LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I ENTERED
    4. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
    5. WHEN DEALING WITH CLUTTER I WILL USE ‘Daisy1571’s idea of ‘WHAT WOULD I DO WITH THIS ITEM IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE’S ?’

  • I haven't really done any decluttering this week due to being ill again (sadly problem I was born with) and had a work trip to the other end of the country mid week - it was the only work I got done this week but luckily I am self employed!
This week I am planning on:
    - dropping back of stuff to charity shop
    - getting rid of a couple of broken electrical items in the boot I put there for recycling/taking to dump
    - sorting Mt. Laundry at the bottom of my stairs

Annoyed with myself as never made that trip to the CS!

Anyhow, yesterday & Saturday listed about a dozen items on fleabay and they are all stored and box taken to attic room.
Whilst waiting for the shower to warm up i decluttered a basket of potions from the end of the bath. Threw out 3 dried up bottles, sorted out 10 samples to use up, made a pile to go in the travel drawer (not sure why but they haven't made it to the drawer yet!)
    Used up 1 sample.
Decluttered 3 yellow sticker items from Mr As and cooked them whilst cooking Sunday roast. that's some lunches for work this week.
1 work lunch taken in today.
Decluttered some brain cells doing research on a Hive/Nest type thingy. Money for that to be decluttered imminently.

    Everyone's doing great!
