See above link which has several ways to melt wax from a glass container1 -
proud of myself today.
I will explain.
I normally put used and defunct batteries to one side to ensure that I take them to a recycling point. I forget them, I end up putting them in a drawer where I think they are ok. I come to use them and then realise they are old. I put them to one side, and it starts again. It usually takes 12 months to get them to a recycling point.
Today I got rid of 5 batteries that had been on my side for only two weeks!
I will update my signature. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x2 -
Day 28
Lots of decluttering done in work today All my drawers and 2 storage cupboards!!
Sadly not so much at important place at home So for today:
- 2 parts of old previously thrown away toys that surfaced
- 1 bin bag of inherited board games that have been dumped in out garage for 12 months, in car ready for CS tomorrow (the garage is starting to look much more satisfactory!)MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......1 -
1. DO NOT PUT OFF TO TOMORROW WHAT CAN/SHOULD BE DONE TODAY
2. WRITE AND USE “TO DO LISTS”
3. LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I ENTERED
4. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
5. WHEN DEALING WITH CLUTTER I WILL USE ‘Daisy1571’s idea of ‘WHAT WOULD I DO WITH THIS ITEM IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE’S ?’
Tuesday has been a dry, bright sunny day but oh so very cold 🥶 :j I ventured into Lewisham & yippee 🥳 I found a new CS - in fact I found three :j so one bag of previously counted stuff has been dropped off :j I also visited the market - proper unwashed potatoes :rotfl: & some large lamb chops from one of the butchers shops + really, really, really cheap birthday cards
DH was back really quickly - he only went to the crematorium & it was one reading & then the coffin was sent through the curtains.
I spent the afternoon writing more birthday cards - there are now 19 left to do up to the end of January 2021 & they are all special birthdays - so a shopping spree in my new favourite card shop :rotfl:
Dinner was the lo cheesy pasta with sliced mozzarella & tomatoes on top - covered in foil & baked. It was scrumptious 😋
116 - 120 Three newspapers, magazine, glass bottle - Recycled
121 - 129 Nine more birthday cards from stash - Used
130 - 131 Bag of kitchen detritus, ruined polo shirt (buttons removed - waste not, want not :rotfl:) - Binned
