I spent most of the day in the garden. Cutting back shrubs and doing some weeding. It was sunny and felt warm for January.

96-103 magazines and catalogue recycled or in car ready for DH to take to work

104-105 packaging and rubbish from DS2 bedroom recycled or thrown away.
  • Have a great holiday, Mrs SD. Very grateful to you for giving me the impetus to declutter. Already this week have made over £100 on selling stuff that is surplus to requirements. It's going off the mortgage. Win, win : beer:

.Friday - I did 2 lots of 15 mins by attacking my second tower of Pisa packaging pile. I deconstructed all the boxes. I threw away some packaging and padding. I located in total 6 bags full of bags :o:o:o. I have now put one in my car and instructed OH to do the same. I found lots of travel related stuff and put it in my new travel related drawer(s)
Then i decluttered one of the baskets in the bathroom which i knew contained a lot of travel related toiletries.
Decluttered the dregs of a bottle of red wine i was keeping for the purpose, into a spg bol.

Saturday - i had a crate of doom in our bedroom which included allsorts - stuff needing listing on ebay, crafts, more travel stuff. The crate is now empty! Decluttered lots of receipts whilst preparing my tax return. Most importantly i decluttered some Christmas wine:rotfl:

    Sunday - I forgot

  • I had another blitz around my house last night. I now have two bags of kitchen stuff to be dropped off today.

I made up a bag for textile recycling as well. A top, a coat, two shirts, two nighties, a bed cover, two pet blankets and four cushions with covers.

I also added two pairs of old gloves as I bought new ones that you can use with a touchscreen.

I used up a shower gel and the last of some lip balm too.

It feels good to get rid of so much clutter in one go.:T

WFH today so can fit in bits of decluttering on the sly

My pet hate (1st world problem) is having shower gel with a cap you have to unscrew then put down somewhere, pour out the gel, then put the cap back on. So i have an old hand soap dispenser and all shower gels in this format (gifts as i don't buy) get poured into this dispenser and i can now pump out my shower gel with one hand. So today I decluttered 2 half finished bottles into the dispenser.
Beef stew in the slow cooker which decluttered a tin of OH's Ale that was a gift he wasnt fussed on
