Hi everyone, well daughters first room decorated. No proper curtains up yet, the walls wont hold the screws, so got to get some for hollow walls...dont ask!!!
At my house, decluttered the shelves from her walls, ready to take next time we go over. Also double wooden bed base collected by local charity. Bathroom cabinet gone with them as well. Have a single metal bed base, but cant find the screws, prob lost in one of her boxes in the new home!!! So still in shed until we can find them. Single divan base outside waiting to be collected.
One bedroom completely emptied, o what shall we do with it....lol havent had a empty room for 36 years!!!!7 -
So much going on.
It doesn't sound awful Money- where else would you take those things? You might as well use them and I am sure that's what she would have wanted to. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x9 -
Thanks, Short_Bird, I am taking your advice and started this morning.I emptied out the Christmas box and all used cards now in bin or in pile for lady who makes cards for charity.I have a note of the number and size of envelopes i need to buy. I keep a separate box for birthday and other cards and will leave it till later. All used wrapping paper is in bin and I have just two sorts of new paper which will last some time. We don't go in much for decorations so they are all in the drawer with the paper. So just two places for Christmas. Because I then had space in the box after running the used cards i have now room for my card making stuff and did one this morning. All in all a good morning.
However, I have to now not buy any cards I like, but that should be easy as I won t look online in the sales and won t be in the UK for ages.
Heard today we over 70s will get the vaccine in February.
Keep staying safe everyone, we just have to hang on.
Total now 50/365, in account of
1 pile used cards out
1 pile of used wrapping paper out.9 -

Thursday was a damp day - lots of moisture in the air - then rained from late evening & is still pouring ☹️ Last week the recycling wheelie bin wasn’t emptied but they did turn up this week 🥳 DH filled the bird & squirrel feeders before doing the usual Thursday shop.
I fried up some lo mash & tomato juice & poured over the last of the hm soup for our lunch.
Day 3 - one load of washing done unfortunately had to use td; knitted a few more rows of scarf; main task was finally writing up larder contents rather than having lots of paper scraps 😉
Dinner was oven baked lamb steaks, mash, cabbage & carrots for DH & DSis. I had lo spaghetti Bolognese heated in oven. DH then earned his 😇 by doing the washing up with me drying & putting away.
Just given milkman his Christmas box - he had a supervisor with him who had apparently been asleep for the last 3 hours 🙃2312 - 2320 Kitchen recycling, 2 plastic bottles, 2 magazines, 3 newspapers, cardboard packaging - Recycled
2321 Kitchen detritus - BinnedSadness & happiness in one, villagelife 😉 Decluttering DS1 & all his stuff 😉 Only joking 🙃 Excellent decluttering villagelife 👏 so much so that one Gold Star ⭐️ is on it’s way to you.Great work short_bird 👏
Excellent work nannywindow 👏 Apologies for calling it the ‘Shed of Doom’ but it appears your ‘Decluttering Eye’ is working overtime if you can still find items to bin 😉 Are you sure that the Clutter Monster isn’t breaking into your shed & adding clutter? 😉
Brilliant work moneyonmymindsam 👏 And no it is NOT awful that you are taking & using cleaning products. Better by far than sending to landfill 👏Good work EnergyShifter 👏
Great work garden_girl_2 👏 WOW 🤩 An empty room - so jealous 😔 The last time I had an empty room was 36 years ago when I bought my first house as a divorcee 😉 In fact I had an empty house for at least a week 😂

Thank you for my gold star.
It is sad DS1 leaving but he wanted his independence and is happy in his flat. He has had a tough few years with one thing and another so pleased he has found somewhere which is affordable for him.

4. JUST DO ONE THING (courtesy of bit_by_bit)Friday was another dreary, dampish day. DH prepped some worm food; went back to sanding & oiling the garden furniture & made cheesy pasta for dinner 👏My neighbours G & A have decided which hm tomato chutney they prefer (my DH is happy as they like the one that he doesn’t like 😉)
Day 4 completed - a bit more knitting; went through all 10 shelves in the wardrobes, top & bottom of DH’s wardrobe & 2 drawers of 5 in the chest of drawers. Nothing thrown away but DH has donated a pair of flexible open weave trainers & a pair of motorcycle boots for CS bag. So I have tidied, rearranged & rolled T-shirts, motorcycle tops & bottoms, scarves etc. So much more space & I can now see everything easily. I also now know that we have enough bars of soap, liquid soap, shampoos, conditioners & bath/shower gels to last at least 6 months 🥳
