May I re-join for 2020
I have inherited a few things from my eldest daughter who emigrated to NZ Nov last year, so I have a few extras to get rid off from my house
DD gave me 3 nice duvet covers and a matching throw, so some of mine have gone
DD couldn't take her vast amount of shower gel - 17 in all yikes i know - so they went to the local church homeless group an hour ago - they were very grateful
DD also wasn't allowed to take any beeswax candles, she wasn't sure on what the jars were so I got the lot, I binned a few of the nearly finished ones
1 - 3 Duvet covers, CS
4 - 20 shower gels, Church
21 - 24 jarred candles, bin
25 - 25 Computer chair from my attic, CS
26 - 27 2 bar stools, CS
28 - 29 2 small cushions CS
30 - 30 a book, CS
After reading Maria Kondo I have now made a list and I hopefully intend to follow that, I don't want to be as ruthless as the book suggests though as I'll have nothing left in the house“You’re only here for a short visit.

1 bag of rubbish for the tip - there's only so many bits of polystyrene you can hang onto "in case it's needed for packaging".
I bag of dignity products for the food bank.
1 bag for the charity shop.
1 bag of material bits. Would love to donate to anyone who might find them useful for craft type activities but schools don't seem interested any more so they will probably end up recycled.
Tally so far, 12 bags. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I know my school would - you never know when it may come in handy. I'm Devon. Otherwise ask a couple of nearby schools or high schools if you can first!Declutter 2020 - 267/2020 :j

Not much decluttering today, but I've finished my cross-stitch. 3.5 years of sewing most days - 4.5 years since I actually started it. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to finish it due to starting with a tremor, but I found that I can manage with it - just keep missing the holes.
Recycled all bar 1 Christmas Cards - it had glitter on so I ripped the back off and recycled that. I wrote down who had sent us one before I sent DH outside with them. The washing machine leaked all over the floor today:eek: - so that got cleaned by DH :rotfl:
I have several completed cross stitch - unframed - do you know anywhere that I can send them to?Clutter free wannabee 2021 /52 bags to cs. /2021 'stuff' out of the placeYOU CANNOT BE ALL THE GOOD THAT THE WORLD NEEDS, BUT THE WORLD NEEDS ALL THE GOOD YOU CAN BEtaken from Shelbizleee on YouTube - her copyright0 -

Re the material bits - maybe see if you have a local craft club-I know my local church does a craft club and they would love stuff like that.0 -
I didn't really want to update tonight because I didn't get much done today - just one bag (and in truth it was 75% full yesterday!) and I spent a lot of time today just slumped doing not much (back to work on Monday) and now I'm so cross with myself for having not used my time productively!!
Small steps I suppose :-) I will make sure I do one useful thing before bed, even if it's only a tiny thing! It's a long road to decluttering....I will make myself keep posting, it's so inspirational reading everybody else's stuff!0
