Job done, shelves now are filled and all my big jars are out and accessible whenever I want them, the cupboards near the range are all sorted and the pans and dishes I use everyday are also accessible and in reach. Our everyday crockery is now reduced to four plates of all kinds and 4 bowls large and small enough for whatever we have for meals in a day The tall cupboards are now full of equipment I need once in a while but often enough to keep and not get rid of it. My feet will appreciate not having to walk the length of the room , up two steps and across another room to get to the storage area! It feels good!7

@Nannywindow - Sorry to hear about your news. Sending my best wishes
I haven't been on forum since 8th July. I had a week off the following week and it hit home just how tired and under the weather I was. The week off helped but I'm still pretty out of sorts really. Problems continue with back/hip pain - I've had a couple of trips to osteopath a slight improvement to start with but unfortunately got worse against since. So I've now made an appointment with GP.
Anyhoo - a little bit to add
481-484 - 4 x posters from DS' room
485 & 6 - 2 x DS shoes for CS bag
487-489 - 3 x rooms re-configured
490 - patio heater given to a friend
491-3 - 3x notebooks to a friend
494 - cancelled trial membership of something
495. dead electric toothbrush
496-8 3 x decorative door knobs
499. Bin full of shredding
500. submitted my upgraded professional accreditation - this has taken me soooooooo long, it was so complicated and expensive and I made it about 10 times harder than it needed to be due to dragging my heels in between stages. Please keep your fingers crossed for me - I do not want to have to do this again any time soon.

4. DAY TO DAY DECLUTTERING WILL CONTINUESaturday was overcast with lots of rain - the silver lining is that I didn’t have to water the garden 😂
The plumber turned up, replaced the specialist part, was paid - ouch 😣 & left..... all within 15 minutes - very efficient. I phoned bank - paid my cc bill & sorted finances. Spent half an hour sorting paperwork. Started knitting a few more stuffed hearts. Cleared down lots more of my planner. DH spent most of the day watching MotoGP practices & qualifying sessions.DSis sniffed the Bobotie & decided it smelt too much like curry 😉🤣 so I cooked mash, sausages, baked tomatoes & baked beans for her. DH & I had the Bobotie with boiled rice & peas. Very tasty & because only 2 of us were eating it there was a small amount left over & I will use that for a cottage pie type dish with mashed parsnip & sweet potato topping. The 2nd pot is in the freezer 🥳 And yes, I did do the washing up before going to bed 😆Sunday has dawned bright, clear & sunny. DH is watching the motorcycle racing & DSis has just got up. I have cleared down more of the programmes on my planner including deleting a whole series having watched 10 minutes of it & not been grabbed by it 🙁1374 - 1379 Kitchen recycling, newspaper, plastic bottle, booklet, 0.5” paperwork, cardboard box - Recycled1380 - 1381 Kitchen detritus, 0.5” shredding - BinnedGreat work Nicnak 👏 the garage will soon be clear at the rate you are going 👏So very sorry to hear the bad news nannywindow 🙁 Please try to look after yourself in the coming months & feel free to vent/chat etc - after all this is the Decluttering thread 🙂 My thoughts are with you & your DH. Thanks Mrs.SD how do I put stars and my medal on to the bottom of my posts? I'd love to do it and am so not techy I don't have a clue on how to.
Happiness this morning was finding that what we thought was a damson tree is in fact a Mirabelle Plum. Lots of fruit on it too so I picked what I could reach from the lower branches and they're soaking at the moment (just in case of beasties) and I shall make a few jars of sweet pickled plums to go with Christmas ham, have done it before and it's fiddly as you have to pierce the plums all over with something sharp before you pour over the sweet spiced vinegar but so worth it because they are absolutely delicioso! Ran the dishwasher last night and found I'd stowed 24 jars and lids in there which are now back in my jar cupboard and ready for plums and rhubarb chutney as we picked enough this morning for a batch to be made later today. I really love making preserves, it makes my inner squirrel very happy.9 -
I'd hope so but my neighbour has asked to store some things in there. Not good!

We are in the new house and have spent the past three weeks unpacking, chucking and sorting. We have filled the paper bin twice with all the card board we have, and will easily fill it a third time. Hopefully it should slow down then!
I have been decluttering whilst unpacking and have sent some books to pile ready for when the local charity shop has some space (the new town is quite small so only has one CS so they are quite overrun!)
Also decided I don't want to keep a few other pieces of clothes. So they haven't yet left the house, but they are separate and ready to go which is as close as I can get.
We've unfortunately realised that the kitchen doesn't have enough storage, so once we've saved up some more new cabinets are on the list, and though it isn't strictly decluttering because we aren't getting rid of anything, it should help the kitchen be clearer and enable me to use more as everything won't be crammed into a cupboard where I can't touch it for fear of it all falling out!
Finally, decided to go back to the gym now they have opened up, it seems like a good gym, if a little on the pricy side. So hopefully I will declutter some of the weight I have put on in lockdown, and because it is very close I am hopeful I will continue going throughout winter rather than falling off the wagon like I usually do.
I have kept up with everyone here, and it is quite inspiring seeing how well everyone is doing, and keeps me going as well, so thank you to all the regular posters ❤️12 -
Still doing my tortoise impression.
Freegled the couple of items that weren't collected previously. Sold the dog ball. Put an alarm clock out the front for anyone strolling past. As far as things leaving the house go, that's pretty much it.
I am quite pleased though that I've spent the afternoon turning an old sheet and some hair bands into masks. It's an incentive to practice my (fairly nonexistent) sewing machine skills and they're light weight so don't feel like I'm suffocating.
Oh yes, and went through two years worth of receipts taking out the odd ones I actally need and burning the rest. That felt quite liberating.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.9 -

502 - spruced up a little side table - looks quite funky now
503. Bought some advance train tickets (I don't normally managed to sort traintickets out that early - I've saved a fortune.
Thanks for goldstar mrs SD - you are always so supportive
