Mrs_Salad_Dodger said:Thank you so much jinnyisacat 👏😊 - gold star added to my collection. How very gratifying to learn that your DH actually listens & hears you 😉 so many DHs seem to switch off 😉. Has he decided what to grow? How about rainbow chard - it can be used in salads but also cooked. Unfortunately it is like spinach when cooked. - you think you have loads & are then sadly disappointed 🙁 However it does seem to grow well, doesn’t need staking as it is quite sturdy - just needs watering a.m. & p.m.
My DH is thoroughly enjoying his Round Britain Rallying - next week I think he is off to Yorkshire. Yippee, more farm shop goodies 🤞I'm as surprised as anyone to find out that he was actually paying attention Mrs SD !! Apparently, your suggestion of Rainbow Chard is a winner as since DH has been on his diet since the beginning of lockdown he is embracing anything green and the fact he can cook it like spinach is a plus as he's eating lots of it !
Glad to hear Mr SD is enjoying his rallying, hope Yorkshire went well, FIL is in York and I concur about lots of good farm shops up that way :-)
Not much decluttering done, although did manage to get a bag to the fabric recycling and I have discovered that there is a fabric recycling bank in the car park of our nearest shopping centre which is much more convienient and I can easily jump out whilst the littles are in the car and not have to get everyone out for just one bag.
I'll have some more bags by the end of this week hopefully, just not there yet.

Still so much in the house , complain about DD room and realise I'm not much better.
Any ideas how to use open shelves in the kitchen..nearly ally storage ( apart from big food cupboard and mugs / cups is open. Gets so dusty. One shelf had jars and another vases and coffee pots , then have boxes or things that get really grubby. Also some are high up so not for everyday things as need to get on a chair to get anything down! All ideas welcome 😊8 -

I found out the chaz was open and accepting donations but when I got there they'd closed early because they'd been overwhelmed with stuff. So I had a car full of things and nowhere to put them. Went to see a friend for coffee and he very kindly let me put them in his garage as he's going to try the chaz again today. (Its 7 miles from me so I didn't want to do another trip and the same happen, I'm trying to save petrol!)Magnolia Stellata9

Thursday was another mainly overcast warm, dry day but with quite a bit of sunshine & a refreshing breeze. DH had seen plenty of open farm shops on Tuesday but none on Wednesday on the way back - boo 😒 DH did his usual Thursday shopping trip - this time around not a single radish or pot of potato salad 😢 He also put together the 2nd wormery & started it off 🙂
We had salad for dinner - my only concession to cooking - hard boiled eggs & boiled a whole bag of new potatoes. Ashamed to say I didn’t even do the washing up before going to bed 😞
Friday started sunny but is now overcast & a bit muggy - fingers crossed 🤞 that it actually rains. The washing up has been done, dried & put away.1360 - 1368 Kitchen recycling, plastic bottle, newspaper, drinks cans, plastic pot & lid, magazine, cardboard packaging, Uu body lotion bottle, Uu hotel bath gel - Recycled
1369 - 1370 Kitchen detritus, plastic packaging - BinnedWell done stellata 👏 shame about the planting but you can collect tubs & punnets again 😉 Typical eh but at least you have a good friend who can take the bags for you & you got coffee as well 😉
Ah yes Nicnak, I know it well - lots of plans & minimal actions 😉 But remember when we do start we will fly along & not have to waste any time on planning 😉Good work Rootle 👏 still going 👏Wow greent - you have been busy 👏Keep up the good work TC77 👏. Sorry no experience of open shelving 😞Great work Happy_Kitties 👏 You are doing really well on your neutral items, so well in fact that you have earned a Gold Star ⭐️ to add to your growing collection 🙂Yippee boazu 🥳 Plans coming to fruition 👏 There is hope for us all 😉 Your winter prepping is also going very well - sounds like you will be lovely & warm - hope your food supplies are doing just as well 😉Great work StickyTheStickInsect 👏 Really pleased that your DH is enjoying chard - I must confess that before this year I had never even heard of it 😉 One benefit of the lockdown 😉Great news about the fabric recycling - always makes you more inclined to recycle when it isn’t a chore 😉

Building them week on week Mrs.SD and it's easier now that there aren't restrictions on the number of items you can order on home deliveries from most supermarkets. It was slow going when you could only order 2 or 3 tins of something while you tried to get in everything for the week fresh too. I found the best way round that was to try for multi packs where 6 tins of beans in a pack only counted as 1 item. This week I've been able to source a 5kg pack of sugar and a 4 kg pack of strong white bread flour from Tesco if they have them in stock that is, often the bigger sized items are replaced with smaller packs but at least you get the amount ordered in some form. Of course the bigger packs take up less room in the store so are more convenient. Looking forward to next week and starting the great Kitchen Rearrange.9
