It's been a week to get through, as far a work is concerned! I had some work that took me out of my comfort zone on Thurs - it went well thankfully but I was very apprehensive beforehand. Huge relief to have it behind me and I was able to spend all day yesterday (day off) walking or lying around in garden! So not much decluttering done last week one way or the other. Its raining today so I am less likely to get distracted!

Thank you for the medal, Mrs SD: I really can't work out how the first person could get a Lands End postcode in writing and close an account in John O'Groats. (shrug)

Friday it rained for about 30 minutes at 6:00 a.m. - but no promised storm 🙁. Then the sun came out & it was hot, hot, hot 🥵 DH put up the umbrella (So the wind picked up 😱) & put together all the garden furniture (hoping for heavy downpours 😉 but no luck yet 🙁) We also scattered some flower seeds + seeded a grow bag with kale, chard & jalapeño peppers. Everything 🤞. We have our first 2 tomatoes making a bid to grow 👏Dinner was chicken fried in butter, boiled new potatoes & green beans from the freezer.

Nicnak, you have a lot on your plate then. Decluttering physical items & decluttering debt (which has been made more difficult by food prices rising 😖) I haven’t got any charity shops open yet but fortunately I only have the one bag of items to be donated - a bonus to be being lazy 😉 Glad your purchaser turned up & saved you a Tip trip 👏
Boazu, Dehydrating definitely counts as both decluttering & prepping 👏 I am rather impressed with your broad bean crop & even more impressed that you had space in your freezer 🥳 Wow boazu, just wow 🤩 One Gold Star ⭐️ on its way 👏
Welcome aboard garden_girl_2 👋 Lovely to see a new face. Excellent work on the decluttering & nice that you can keep busy 🙂
Great work newlywed 👏 I keep trying & failing to keep my work surface clear 😞

Another star my goodness that's tremendous! I had to play freezer tetris to get the beans into the fast freeze drawer though but I've got a little bit of wriggle room because we put some 2 litre bottles of milk in at the start of lockdown that we've not used so I can always take one of them out and make Paneer cheese for a curry to make a gap. I'm really enjoying the challenge of decluttering and am proactively looking for things to process and it's going to stand us in good stead in the winter in the freezer, dehydrated goods and preserves which won't start for a little while until we get gluts of things in the garden. It looks like a good crop on both the plum and damson tree so I will be making jams and chutneys and dehydrating some plum halves in the hope of making homemade prunes or something resembling them.10

Abit of general tidying up.9 -
Morning MrsSD & fellow declutterers, not been on this forum for a while, so thought i'd better change that. Spent the best part of 5 hours tidying up my 8 year old daughter's bedroom yesterday (with occasional help from her). It takes around 6 - 8 weeks I would say for her bedroom to be transformed from a place of tidiness and order to a jungle where stuff is spread across the room in random places. Spent the first hour retrieving all the Lego bricks which had spread far and wide across the floor and underneath the bed. Hey ho. It was heavy rain up here yesterday and it was still humid so it was a task which needed to be done. Might tackle the two piles of downstairs clutter which our daughter has as well today if I can be motivated. Anyway, one full bin bag of rubbish collected from the bedroom 'tidyupathon'. Over the past month to six weeks we have collected bits of stuff (mixed materials) to take to the tip, but our recycle centre is still running on an appointment only basis, so content for now to continue to build up this pile for the tip until restrictions are eased. This period has definitely made me think a lot about the amount of stuff we have that we could do with decluttering.8

Saturday was a funny old day weather-wise - started cloudy & very windy with a distinct promise of a decent amount of rain for the garden which fizzled out to a few drops & then brilliant sunshine & warmth although still windy. DH pootled about in the garden & garage, DSis spent the entire day in her room & I was completely lazy - as usual 😞 - read, played AB2 & watched TV including a B&W film called Jigsaw which just stopped 🙄
Dinner was spaghetti Bolognese using a bag of meat sauce from the freezer.1157 - 1158 Kitchen recycling, glass jar with metal lid - Recycled
1159 Kitchen detritus - Binned
You are welcome greent 👏
You seem to be very well organised boazu 👏 Let me know when the plum & damson jams are available - I will get my DH to come round on the motorbike 😉😉😉😉
Good work TC77 👏 You are spot on in your count - 1257
So, so lovely to see you leelad 🥳 Your daughter is obviously quite a tidy young lady 😉 if it takes 6-8 weeks for her bedroom to become a Room of Doom 😉 I imagine you have been rather busy home schooling. I hope your wife is coping - not sure if either of you were able to work from home - apparently that adds a bit of structure to the days. We are luckier than most with our local Tip - no appointments just queue & hope that you get in 🙂 There are restricted opening hours though. Perhaps the excess clutter can be designated forbay of e or hopefully car booting when life becomes less restricted. I remember that you & your daughter do like to car boot 🙂 Again I am so happy to see you 🙂 & I hope you can pop in once in a while & let us know how you & your family are getting on.
The only trouble with freezer Tetris newlywed is that you get so cold when trying to find something 😉
