Sure you can.positiveevibes said:Hi guys, am I able to open the account so I can get the interest of 2.02% but without switching (I don’t need the wine anyways)? Thank you.1 -
I thought you had to keep £1k in the savings account for a month?
Opened account on 20th dec. Wine came today0 -
i opened 2 accounts around the 20th december, 1st as a new customer, 2nd was a previous clydesdale customer and as has been said as a past customer the correct procedure is to click on the relevant tab at the opening stage and it will remember you (you need old clydesdale details)both switched within 10 days which is impressive considering the time of year, card pin paperwork all arrived very quickly, and wine arrived within 36 hours of placing order (when ordering the wine unders the t+cs it states next day delivery if orderd before 4pm, it arrived as stated in the limits) although no warning just arrived in a white van, even though i put phone numberre transfering money 1st waited until banks were up and old accounts closed, transferred £10 to the linked account to ensure all good then made it up to £1000. have transferred most of it back to original bank account now without issues.in summary excellent and no problems, very impressed, now where that glass!

I can see why you thought you might have to keep the £1000 in the savings account for a month .... but if you read the T&C's carefully, you can withdraw the £1000 once you have the wine code ... I waited until the wine actually arrived (todayZeroSum said:I thought you had to keep £1k in the savings account for a month?

Not as top as 2%, or 1.75%, 1.5%, or even just 1%, all of which are still available to new applicants. Additionally, many people will still have legacy instant access accounts paying up to 1.2%.ZeroSum said:

Why would current accounts, reg savers, and legacy savings accounts not be suitable places to keep £1,000 in?ZeroSum said:
