Still waiting for my voucher after ticking all my boxes in late November. live chat are, as is their right, not interested in anecdotes about others receiving their vouchers within a week, until the 30 day T&C window has ended. If it's not there on day 31 though, I'll be raising a complaint, having been dismissed so promptly on day 20. My gut instinct is that it will need chasing.
My Switch was on 7th December. I've still not received the Voucher.
Wine voucher still not received. Are others still waiting?
My switch completed on the 18th December (with all other offer criteria met) and I received the code today (22nd).
Same switch date completed, had my code today too and claimed.
Guessing at some point after Christmas (at best)  or January for delivery.👍
Mine completed on that date but no voucher yet. I’m expecting to have to chase it as I had to open over the phone and they added me to a manual list.

Ditto, completed 18th code just arrived, order placed.
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

I have now given up all hope for my code as Virgin seem to have spotted that I was an existing account holder. Ah well, can't win'em all, I'll just have to buy my own wine now.

I've no idea I'm afraid, but if I wanted a second account in case I couldn't access my one and only account, common sense would suggest I should open it at a different bank.
It is my one and only Virgin Money current account at the moment but I do have another very longstanding current account elsewhere.

You may not have any wine but it's good to see you do have a sense of humor
that should last much longer than the wine.

If you've only just set up the payee (yourself)  to go to another account that's probably why it's in limbo or blocked. They are protecting your money against fraud. I had this with Lloyds and earlier this year First Direct. Lloyds were a right pain, the guy on the phone took some convincing it was me, then I still had to ring again, that time a female and she immediately released my account. So I reckon it was a double double check, thinking if I'm really a con artist would I really have the bare face to ring s second time.😵
Hi. Yes I realise they are protecting me against fraud but nobody seemed to know the procedure.
I got told 3 different things on live chat.
First to authorise via the "be secure" tab on the app, then when that didn't work to reinstall the app, then finally the 3rd person told me to ring customer services and ask for the fraud department.
I rang the number they gave me and the lady insisted it could be done on the app, I finally convinced her it couldn't and she put me through to the fraud team who took some details of the payments and promised me it would clear this morning - it hasn't.
The payee was set up last week and a small payment sent so I was hoping it would go through without all this hassle.

I made a similar experience with my first withdrawal from a VM current account to a current account in my name at another bank. I was given the runaround and false promises. They released the money after a few days. I then put a formal complaint in, eventually got an apology and £30.

This was back in July but it seems they are still following their pathetic 'processes'. I would raise a formal complaint if I were you.
It's now been 4 days since my initial request and my account is still blocked, my money has not been released and nobody has been in contact to give me an update.
If anybody needs the money from their virgin current account be warned it will take forever while they think about it.
I need the wine to deal with the stress !
Not going near Virgin, Clydesdale or Yorkshire bank ever again.

  • We applied on the 24 November and requested to send ID. We did this about 26 November via their link. Never heard from them since. We were hoping to give the wine as presents to save some money. Never mind.

I'm trying to get onto the app which keeps crashing on the loading once I've done the fingerprint.
Anyone else having issues with their app?

I can get into mine no problems, I use just the pin number method.
Agree it's not the best, a bit laggy but works for me.
I find the TSB one the worse but we've mostly found out that's a bit cr*p at times.
  • The reviews on Trustpilot don't seem good. Has anyone has an issue with transferring the money between their savings and current accounts, or with any standing orders that they already had running on their old account?

I'm just at the deadline for transferring the 1k in, but wondering if It'll be a nightmare to get back from them. Is it just setting up new payments that triggers them to block your account?
