DH has been out all day at the horse piddle gym and the war games shop, so I
- FUPA the dry washing that had been airing in front of the bathroom radiator
- Visited two old ladies in a care home
- Had coffee with a friend
- Persuaded same friend to come out for lunch with me - sampling a carvery at a local pub of which I'd heard good reviews, with a view to booking for all the family (14 of us) on the 29th. Inexpensive, but the plates were cold, the meat was dry, and the veg were overcooked, so not at all impressed. Did not book
- Came home and booked our family meal in the restaurant at our local arboretum: twice the price for the carvery, but the plates are much bigger and I have never had a poor meal there; also, the view from the windows across the lake is lovely in (almost) all weathers
- Took Rosie for a walk in the woods
- Did a food shop
- Rang DS2
Now I have to plan tomorrow's Nativity service and craft activities with the toddlers and any older siblings who are at a loose end because of school closures for the elections.
Please don't forget to use your vote tomorrow if you are eligible!0 -
Only cleaning done today so far is daily dishes and I properly polished my OH's computer desk, must do better.
I have a random question, does anyone know the size of a 1 line lottery ticket? Thanks in advance.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet: Lakeside Cardigan0 -
by the time I went to work the DR had been properly tidied and vacuumed and the vacuum emptied into the bin - tomorrow is bin day; that's a job for tonight but all wastebaskets etc were emptied too.
And how lovely to come home to tidiness.
Tonight I must iron.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Before I went to work, I snuck in a bathroom s&s and a quick kitchen tidy. Probably just as well, as this evening has been unproductive apart from cooking dinner and tidying the kitchen. Again. I’ve managed to get waylaid by the mse email and then following links to various forums. Christmas cards still need to be written so I’d better get my arris into gear.0

Did a trot to tesco for cereal.. and just realised I didnt get any food for dinner tomorrow.. so I need to go shopping in morning.
The cheeky mare at OHs work.. NEVER speaks to him, it just messaged asking if he will swap shifts on Thursday.. or just do her shift as an extra... Grand High Vitch says no!!! I have plans for Thursday but that's between me and him.. that piece of trash has no right to information about my life.
I never found time to ring anyone.. I am far too rubbish at this life thing..
I defluffed the dryer filter exhaust so it is working but not perfect.. I need to find a way to defluff the inside of the machine not quite sure if it is even possible without dismantling it.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Morning, an early start here as OH had an early meeting so up early. But hoping to make the most of it.
Up, showered & dressed.
Bed made
DW on & WU done
House needs thoroughly dusting and hoovering but painter not quite finished so that can wait until tomorrow afternoon. Today's tasks are DD1 bedroom as she's home this weekend, and admin, main task is to find the desk, I'm ashamed to say it is piled about 2 foot high.
Off to put WM on and then breakfast
Don't forget to vote, it's very easy to lose the right to vote and very long and difficult to get it, been there and got the badge (at last).0 -
Morning.
I’m up but in a complete daze. Feel like I’m ploughing through fog. I’ve tackled the ironing pile, then found all the hanging bits that I had somehow ‘missed’. I’ve run the wm, prepped a veggie chilli for tea and just remembered that maybe I need some lunch to take to work, as I sure as anything won’t only do my paid for 4 hours. DH has had his card hacked overnight, something else to sort out. Hopefully it has been caught but who knows.
Voted at 7am with DH. DD at 17 is furious that she can’t have her say so all we can do is set the example that once she gets her vote, she must exercise her right.
Off to paid stuff. Have a good day all.0 -
Morning all
Been at paid stuff for a few hours, taking a break now as I have back to back meetings for the rest of the day!
WM second load swishing, first is on the airers
Dailies all done
DH has been to vote. I’ve done a postal vote.
We are meeting friends for dinner this evening so no flying will be done. I’m going to do a quick vac and tidy of the lounge now and then get back to work.
Have a good day all x0 -
Coffee time
Ironing all cleared
WM on again
Started admin and sorting desk but already fed up. First job which I should have been able to do online has gone pear shapped, can't log on and they don't recognise the id, aaagh! Email sent.
