It has taken me awhile to get there - patience is the key - you will get there in the end

  • Reporting £1,728.61 for April 🙌🙌🙌  form has been submitted. That includes all cash savings, interest, payments into my LISA (my main goal for saving currently) and my LISA bonus. Didn’t include my LISA bonus last month but decided it makes sense since I’m including interest and it’s additional money going into the pot. I’m not factoring in losses/gains as that’s not really relevant to me right now since the money is locked up for over 30 years (although i did have gains this month). Won’t have any commission in may so next month might be slightly lower 😑
  • #42 calling with April’s final total of £962.29, taking me to just over 25% of my target for the year. The first payment of tax relief was credited into my SIPP in the last few days, which should now help boost my monthly totals as I’m making regular contributions just after each payday. So, still a little bit behind my annual target but closing in on par after a slow start!

Form submitted and many thanks again!

Reporting in with £3,138.64 for April, and £23,754.15 for the year so far. Lockdown's slowly feeling more normal, although we're fortunate to be out in the countryside so it's easy to escape for a walk - at sunrise I can walk for an hour without seeing anyone else. Not helping the budget much though, increased food spend has more than outweighed small savings from not commuting. And it wasn't the best time to buy a new (to me) car, it has been sitting uselessly outside for the last month.
We have been budgeting for some much-needed decoration and general maintenance around the house, but that's obviously on hold now - if this goes on much longer then i'll fold some of that money back into savings.

#6 reporting in with savings of £1,461.12 for April and £4,613.21 for the year. Form submitted.

Am very lucky as I’m able to work from home and am spending very little, so my finances are looking healthier due to the lockdown. As most others, I am desperately looking forward to when the lockdown is lifted, but I’m aware that it could still be a while yet.

Wishing everyone good health and a good money saving May.
