Hi everyone, In terms of saving this month. I transferred some money from my Tesco internet saver, I always forget I have it, which I pay into it a measly £10 a month to a Marcus fixed saver. The 0.35% interest was doing nothing.  I'm not going to add that to my savings pot as I had  opened that back in 2015.

I have just got paid and I have managed to save £250 in my virgin saver + £1500 Nat west account and now added £1750. I was considering opening the Nationwide account but think , I'll just leave it my Marcus account. So April's total is £3,500. I may revisit my target, but I also have my MFW target to look at too. I have managed to resist the urge of online shopping, which is my weakness. I think going into school last week to make PPE for a local hospital made me re-evaluate things. I miss my students, so setting them work and getting ready for the academic year keeps me busy. Keep safe everyone.

Hi everyone - like most people we are spending a lot less on petrol at the moment as we are both working from home, so it's just the weekly trip to the supermarket now. On the other hand I expect we are spending more on food, as the nearest supermarket isn't my usual Aldi. Thank goodness for Click and Collect though - seems a lot safer than shuffling round inside the store.
This month I've received the annual interest on a few fixed-rate savings accounts, so in total I'm reporting £3740.96 for April
    Save 12k in 2013-2014-2015-2016-2017-2018-2019-2020-2021-2022 - then early-retired.
  • Hope everybody is staying safe - update for April is £3173
Working from home and having food as the only real expense has helped no end, will just be a case of not spending it when everything goes back to normal!

  • Have been a bit tardy in updating my progress.
Have just updated Feb, March and April.
May should be good as it is a double pay month.
Thank you SF for all that you do.
