Happy New Year all - a great year of saving for me, smashing my target of £15k and achieved £25,196! The saving on transport, work lunches etc has helped!
Hope you all stay safe this year and get saving for next year!

Hi all!
Just totted up my end of year totals.
I managed to save £2,256 in December. That makes an incredible £35,728 saved in 2020. Many factors contributed to this. Lockdown and working from home saved us a fortune on travel, socialising and other expenditure; I got a promotion with a 20% pay rise; and I received a small cash inheritance.
My new overall savings total is £197,685. I can't believe I've almost smashed the £200k barrier! It doesn't seem real.
I'm very thankful to have a secure job, a decent income and a comfortable home, but most of all to have a truly wonderful partner and good health. Those last two things are priceless.
Happy 2021 everyone. Well done on your savings progress, you should be very proud

Just updated the spreadsheet for the months of November £650 and December £1160. So that gets me slightly above my target for 2020 of £8000. Thanks for the encouragement and lets go for next of 2021.2

#25 reporting in for December, form already submitted. I managed to save £2,590 this month meaning I have hit my revised £15k target. The amount saved was boosted by some dividends coming in and still being on my rolling weekly contract, but I am not sure how long that contract will last now we are starting lockdown 3.0
so I have set a smaller target for next year.
Good luck all for 2021 targets.

Form filled in. Thanks @slowlyfading for all your hard work running this challenge.
I haven't met my target this year, but the saving I managed meant that I hit my life target of getting a mortgage and buying my place, which was the plan for the savings anyway. Not far off though, and I think really my target was over-ambitious! Here's to 2021 and hitting new goals.Save £12k in 2025 #33 £2531.77/£5000 (If this carries on I might have to up my target!)
