Poll: Cemetery

Our previous house backed onto a large Victorian cemetery and it was fantastic- we had nesting Sparrowhawks most years, occasionally nesting Hobbies, Owls, Red Kites, loads of squirrels and a feral population of Muntjac Deer.0

My only concern would be around parking. I drive by a big cemetery quite often and on weekends there are a lots of cars parking, quite a few illegally.
If anything you have one side that will never gets buildup and block your sun or get noisy. It's a different kind of neighbours from hell/heaven0 -
My house overlooks a small graveyard. Then there is another patch of graves on the opposite side of the path and more graves on the grounds of the church which is about 100m away (but they're all very old).
PROS:
Not being overlooked.
No building there
It is well maintained
Downsides;
It feels like they're always mowing (see well maintained). This is mildly irritating as my dog doesnt like the mower sound
Anti-social behaviour- not a problem here but like others said check that
Visitors; if its recent and/or active there will be burials and mourners- more cars coming and going. Ours is small and quiet and the access isnt near our house (and theres plenty of parking) so not a concern but again- check.0 -

I used to live in a house that backed on to a cemetery, I never saw it as a problem. The neighbours were very quiet, and it was handy being right next to the dead centre of town :-)0

See the positives - it is unlikely to be a new development ever, less chance of anti-social behavior, no noise, no complaint when you want to extend your house - the list is endlessHappiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0

My childhood home was next to a cemetery. In fact my bedroom overlooked it. I loved it! Though tbf I didn't know any different as I moved there when I was 1, so it was normal to me.0
