Thanks JWil really appreciate it, I’m sorry I haven’t been over to your diary in ages, really need to pop by!Well I’ve had a goodish day! Managed another workout, body is foooked now though. Played bingo with the kiddies after school today which was nice. Went to costa earlier and spent £7.50 but I was really good and didn’t eat anything.
OH bought fish pie for tea, we had beans and jackets yesterday. Kids had pizza for tea tonight. I still haven’t sorted out bank account but have paid loan/cc and paid after school club and some DDs have come out.I’ve got a reception in the big city next week, and have nothing to wear, so have ordered a jacket and dress from eBay. Which has come to £15, hopefully they’ll fit! I have tights and shoes already. I do need to get my camel coat washed as it’s filthy, so need to investigate dry cleaners.I’ve got it into my head I need to spend £30 or less on food shopping, including cat food. Yes saving money is good, but I’m not eating properly because of it. I need to look at my diet now I’m working out again and make sure I’m eating enough of the right things. Budget is £50 a week so definitely doable.I’m mildly grumpy as won’t see OH tomorrow as work etc. But he’s sat beside me working when we’re supposed to be spending time together, and he’s grumpy and puttering away. I just want to chill out1 -
God I’m tired. Got 4 hours sleep. Need to go back to bed after the school run that’s for sure. Have work tonight too 😔.1

Hey sorry I’ve been MIA. Work and life have been crazy busy.Budgets have completely gone out of the window. But I have paid back, for the first time the monthly amount to my Credit card and I haven’t bought any gym clothes. Bad things.... I have spent way more on food than I should have.Life wise I have been training a lot more 5 times a week for 3 weeks which is great does wonders for my mental healthy but on the down side, I am absolutely exhausted today. Seem to spend all day every day at the gym but am left with the odd hour in between when I finish and picking up the children and it’s not long enough to go home and the gym is FREEZING. I end up going to Tesco and costa. But I have to say I do love sitting in costa and do get w lot of work done. Now all I need to do is wean myself off coffee and just have their tea is it’s £1... I will try.
Going to try and reign it in as much as I can for the next few days and start again next month. But I do feel like I have made progress. Am currently in bed as OH is out. I may fall asleep!0 -
Sat drinking tea, watching king of queens, I’ve made packed lunches, sorted uniforms, made breakfast, ironed OH’s shirt and fed the cats. Trying to get some enthusiasm up for the day. I’m so tired. Would usually go back to bed after the school run as I have work til 1030 tonight. But I promised my friend I’d meet for coffee and I’ve put her off 3 times already. So I’m meeting her at 10.15 but doing the school run at 8.45, so going to pop to the gym in between I think.... v tempted to go home Instead..... but will see.

Re your coffee habit, I presume you take your own cup (if not, you need one, preferably opaque so nobody can see if you have finished it) and you have moved to their house filter coffee (cheaper - same coffee, just filtered)? Just saying... you could also buy yourself a gift card for costa that lets you ration your consumption, or at the least, make you aware how much you are spending.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Hi Suffolk, yes I have my own cup which saves me 25p a time and helps with the eco side. I never buy their promoted blend that’s more expensive. I’m not sure how an Americano stacks up price wise or whether they just do filter coffee. Definitely something to look at. And a gift card is a really good idea, to ration it out. I could always buy one for the month and when it’s gone it’s gone...... I always use my points card so at least that’s something.
I met my friend for coffee and cake and had such a lovely catch up. I did go back to bed in between that and the school run so feel so much better for that. I’m at work in an hour. I have cleaned everywhere and just need to hang the washing up and make myself some food. Toast and a banana probably. Oooh think I have some malt loaf too. I struggle at work as work long shifts with barely time to eat in between classes so need grab and go food. Might make myself a sandwich but need to check on how much bread we have! Really need to go food shopping. Trying to eek it out until Monday.Really need to get off my bum and get ready but it’s so cold out, I just don’t want to!1 -
+ for a decent cup!not a warm drink errm drinker, but when i started to lose weight i got a "nalgene" beaker.. around £10-15 each but they are pretty indestructible, and had 3 years now and fine. and different sizes, i got a 1l and 1.5l one and they have markings on so i could watch my water / liquid intake.dan1
