Done in the slow cooker and apparently they were lovely-I hate anything with milk in. For variations, I have used part condensed or evaporated milk with uht semi-skimmed. Have also added different things such as star anise, some cocoa powder, cinnamon etc.

Wow thank you, do you have a recipe at all?

Well children are home from school, I managed to book parents evening! Booked separate ones for ex as he spent 45 minutes in the waiting area passively aggressively emotionally attacking me last time. So separate times it is!

We’ve had some if the cake it was wonderful, we had hot chocolatier with marshmallows too. I bought Sainsbury’s basics hot chocolate about a year ago which as lasted well And little marshmallows!

Ok so clothes washed and hung up. Coats are in the washer now, they were filthy!

Need to sort Roos PE kit and book bags and beavers uniform for tomorrow as well. Oh and find hats and gloves, they seem to have gone missing!

I’ve had a payment for work come into my account but I don’t know if it’s included on my projected or on top off. I’m hoping it’s on top of as I had to shuffle £28 out of my savings account to go into my account as I was into my overdraft, which I’m charged daily for! Will transfer it back and hope it’s on top of what I thought. Not sure how I can find out, it’s all v complicated. I’ve just realised from tomorrow I’m working every day until next Monday! And unfortunately as it’s our own business I don’t get paid any more!! Sorry for rambling so much, it really helps me x

Absolutely need to do invoice and dvla thing tonight. Argh I hate being this tired I just don’t feel like doing anything. still confused re money coming in. Trying to look into it.

    Good morning,

So I’ve got up, fed the cats, made Roo’s packed lunch, showered the littlies, they’ve had a cup of warm milk (tea) and a rich tea, and bran flakes. I’ve just had a cuppa too. So need to get these small ones dressed and ready and they need to read. I’m do spellings in the car. I need to throw make up at my face and get dressed. Going to go back to bed for an hour or so when I come back from the school run as I’m exhausted as OH was tossing and turning and I’m working until 10.

Need to do DVLA today and sort hiring of chairs and food for event at work on Thursday.

Right need to get these littlies sorted. Will post more later, thanks for reading, loving this diary it’s helping me so much to keep track of everything!

So eco wise I’m still trying be as good as possible, a lot of cooking from scratch, desperately trying to buy all clothes etc second hand if I can, along with DVD’s for the littlies (we don’t have a tv arial in their playroom and for some reason iPlayer etc no longer work!) hoping to get a fire stick at some point If budget allows which will help that problem, we’re recycling what we can, just generally trying to consume less and waste less.

Ok so today I went back to bed for an hour but barely slept, feel rubbish! Have stuff fo do today.

    To do list
Need to plan for classes later
    Sweep floor
    Do dishwasher
    Make packed lunches
    Sort Tomorrows meeting
    Work
    Take children to beavers
    Look into mobile phone contracts
    Post eBay items
    Fudge about with Barclay card

I’m sure there’s plenty more but that’s all for now.
Ok so this month is a bit strange money wise as I’m in the process of setting up different pots for expenses, like May’s dancing and after school club, but they are all due right now. So having to find the money this month to pay them up to date to then start the monthly pots to save up for them again. So any sort of extras money etc isn’t happening at the moment. Hoping to have something there by half term though, just for a day out. Bank looks pretty dire at the moment, have £25 in there I’m keeping this in there for anything that needs buying that’s not accounted for. Food etc is from OH’s account. I have £20 in cash, I need to find another £5 then I can use this to have my nails done on Friday. I think there’s some in the car and I’ve got an old £1 I can change and some 20ps let’s hope it adds up. Ended up with £34 worth of sales on EBay. Think I may have made a couple of £ on postage. So let’s say £36, I’ve already bought May a raincoat from that total on eBay last night for £4, there’s a pair of wellies that I hope won’t go for more than £5. And I need to get Roo a rain coat, hopefully with postage that won’t be more than £10. So that leaves me with £17. I desperately want to buy the shelves for the play room which are £25. So I need to make another £8 from somewhere! Have tried twice now to list on FB selling page but the screen just goes black?! Not sure what’s going on there. I have lots of payments and bills going out tomorrow, so can update things more when that is done.

House is a proper tip, but needs a good sort so not sure when I’m going to be able sort that. As working from home every morning and then actually in work every afternoon. We’ve said Monday is a day off. So shall hopefully be able to plough through then. Would really like to list 10 things this week on EBay too, so we shall see.

I have to say it’s the first time I have lived my life and dealt with my money this way, even though I really should have done way before now! I’m enjoying the number crunching part, as there’s a part of me that loves a challenge. And I love the buzz I get for getting something for nothing or for not a lot. Like on Monday we went to a cafe to work as sometimes need to get out of the house to be productive, and I found a lee child book I hadn’t read for 50p I was so happy, even more so when OH treated me to it. Where as before I’d have just got it on Amazon and thought nothing of it! The emotional part is hard though, I do buy stuff to make myself feel better, but I’m trying so hard not to fall into that trap.

Anyway I’ve rambled enough! I’m sure I’ll be back shortly with stuff I’ve forgotten!

On a massive downer, seem to feel that way whenever I’m at work at the moment. Probably because I can’t work out, as I’m still too poorly, but I have to watch OH and everyone else. Looking a certain way is a big part of my job and I feel fat and horrid. This is when id normally order new gym cloths sfo make myself feel better. Really struggling.

Ok did some coaching and immediately felt better. (I’m not one to dwell or have long spells of grumpiness). Back on my savings Wagon! Ok so things I managed to achieve today. I got May and Roo rain coats and May some wellies for £19! I’m v chuffed with that! I managed to post my eBay stuff, bar 1 as they haven’t paid but I made £2.50 on postage as I miscalculated so that’s all good. I’ve found various change and I know there’s £2 odd in the car. So that added to the £20 in my purse will be my nail money.

I managed to get some fuel whilst out at work. I made chicken and rice for dinner. I’m so impressed. A tiny chicken that was reduced in little to £1.50, did us for 2 dinners! Looking forward to moving money around tomorrow.
Still need to sell some bits to get to the £8 I need to get the shelving unit. I’m exhausted, Going to sit and read some diaries and fall asleep!

    Morning!

It’s the first morning in a month I’ve not been woken up at 6am! So had a lay in until 9.30. Kiddies are at their dads. I've done a couple of bits of work but am sat on the sofa with the cooking channel on eating biscuits!

I’ve just been through the payments I’m expecting and I still can’t quite work it out. I’ll be very surprised if eBay appears on the app is actually what I get paid. I’m not sure I got paid as much as it thinks last month.... and the date has changed from the 10th to the 12th.... no idea will have to Ask OH when he’s up. Should also be getting another payment in today but it’s not in yet. Hoping it does come in when it says as I need to pay the rent.

Have a lot of work to do today for event later. No idea what I’m wearing, should really check i have something! I haven’t really thought much about dinner tonight I’ve got sausages in the freezer and can make sausage and mash but it just depends what OH wants to do and how late we finish. Will push him toward that way. Had to pay eBay postage out of the bank as hadn’t transferred it from PayPal. Will do that today. Need to do some washing!

Ah have just had an email to say that finds have been paid but they’re not in my account yet! Good news is it’s £120 more than I thought. Bad news is I’ve spent £65 on a pressure washer. We need one for the garden as the slabs are green and OH’s OCD can’t really deal with it, and he’d been looking at £200 ones, this one has £35 off and was cheaper than anywhere else so I bought it. But as I said I am up on the money I thought I was getting. And I’m £12 up on the food shop this week as didn’t spend as much so I don’t feel bad about it.

Keep having to remind OH not to spend money willy nilly! He just doesn’t think sometimes, I know he hates being told no as we work so hard, as do a lot of people and I know we’re not alone in thinking that we should have nice things to show for all the hours we put in. But whilst we have debt it doesn’t work like that.

Going to leave the other £55 in the bank as not too much money put aside for extras this month so if there’s any left over at the end of the month I will pay it off the debt.

Really not looking forward to this event tonight, just can’t be bothered!
