Ah Suffolklass really? Thought we might be ok. B@&&er could really do without that. Feel like there is such a big black cloud hanging over us. Weird thing is the PC didn’t even take his name, didn’t issue any sort of ticket for speedIng etc. Just don’t know where we stand.Am sat outside the school trying to keep warm. It’s got so cold. Having to take the children for eye tests tomorrow as Roo has a funny blinky thing going on! He says his eyes are hurting so thought I’d get it checked out.Been to the gym, so far a no spend day. Meal plan for rest of week is
Tuesday - stew/children will have hotdogs and carrot sticks
Wednesday - chilli/children will
have pasta as it’s beavers night
Thursday - chilli/children will have chilli burritos
Friday - Thai chicken curry / children will have jackets and beans
Saturday - chicken pot pie
Sunday - not sure yet1 -
You might be OK if the PC gave him a verbal Bo**ocking and did not take his name. Sun poking through that cloud a bit?

Have been a bit naughty and have binned off homework, I’ll have to help Roo with it at some point but right now I need to chill.Me and the children are watching a dvd, I’ve made them hot chocolate instead of buying a babycinno, and we’ve had rich tea biscuits from home. I’ve made some dough and I’m waiting for it to rise, then I’m going to make some hot dog rolls.Meant to say all the extra money I spent on food yesterday wasn’t needed as OH got gifted some essentials from his brother. So I’m going to put the food I bought in the cupboard and hopefully next week the food shop will be a lot less.I’m looking forward to the children going to bed so i can have a nap. I’ve put some washing on, need to spin it again and hang it. Still need to hoover and mop the floor. Hoping OH won’t be too late home, maybe 10, so need to do all of that by then. Also need to budget or might save that for tomorrow.2

Ok so have hung up washing and am currently washing the coats. My rolls turned out lovely! V happy with that. Children are just in bed and reading.1

Ok so today I’m taking the children to the opticians at 9, just sitting down with a cuppa and a biscuit. I’m going to have to pay for parking today so that’s not a nsd. OH is getting lunch though as we’re backwards and forwards in work all day. I won’t be back until about 6pm. Long day.1

I've tried to see if I could do a budget for meals for me and the children for 2 weeks for £21, so 50p a day each. More to see if I could come up with decent meals for that little. Not because we need to right now, just more of a challenge. And I think I’ve managed it. Loads of cooking from scratch with random ingredients and not as much fruit and veg as I’d like but passable ish on a really tight couple of weeks.

Had a crappy day yesterday, ended up spending money on food as someone phoned in sick and I had to work. I was out of the house for 10 hours yesterday. Roo needs glasses full time, which I’m a little sad about. I’m exhausted at the moment. Not sure how to manage everything.1

Something has to give with the amount of pressure you are under at the moment - I suggest it is the 50p a day loads of cooking from scratch part - do you need this right now while you are so tired?
I don't want to discourage your endeavours but it feels a little as though you may be setting yourself up to fail and that will just demoralise you. Try things like stretching your meals with extra veg or red lentils, and cooking some things in one pot that could be left on slow or popped in a slow-cooker if you have one, with no extra effort - and make it do two nights - my old favourite is a stew with the cheapest ingredients, padded out with red lentils, carrots and onions or leeks, then covered in mash for the second night with more vegSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Thanks SuffolkLass you’re right. I’m not going to do it right now, I just can’t, and the thought of cooking from scratch at the moment is making me want to cry. Thanks for thinking of me. Will update everything properly in a bit.2

Keep your chin up honey, and give yourself a break. You'll start to feel better soon hopefully. (((hugs)))I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy2
