okay...I am clearly not going to earn my 'Search the Internet' badge!

Is there a website that lists the requirements for various badges?

Ideally I'd like the 'old' badges...I was a Guide back in the 70s....I did find one site that listed the old badges...and a few that will sell you the badges...but nowhere to tell me the tasks.

Just thinking of it takes me back...I was an enthusiastic Girl Guide...and they were always SO inclusive (I have a number of disabilities)...I left a few years earlier than I'd have liked...we moved around a lot, Mum gave up counting after 20 moves in 26 years!...even moving to a different country didn't stop us Guiding/Scouting...eventually we managed to move out of a Guiding area, and I was also advanced a year at school....I needed all my efforts to keep up with the older girls and never registered as a lone guide as I'd hoped....something I sort of regret 40 odd years later!

A Girl Guide never gives up!...I found a site! (mostly Harmless) which seems to have quite a few of the old badge requirements...so this WILL be my final task of the 20 achievements...I'm going to 'earn' 20 Badges...some will be easy - Readers is a given when I do my Reading 20 fiction/no fiction books ….this one is going to be FUN!...off to check what I need to do for my Knitting badge!

I'm going to join in, if I may (list to follow)

A friend of mine is 50 this year and has set herself 50 things to do/achieve in her fiftieth year - I'm much closer to 60 and that seemed a whole heap of effort! But 20? 20 I can do......

My number 19) is 20 things to make son2's life easier.

At the football in Hereford today, we made our usual five trips to actually go in the toilets (as he won't go alone or go in if there is anyone else in there), with the police watching us each time...

I've loitered outside men's toilets for so many years now, that tonight I ordered him a radar key so I can let him in to adapted toilets!

(He's got autism and long standing and nasty urological problems).

            Ok so I’m calmer now!

Typical though, that I start the thread but am late listing my 20,

Overall theme/aim of the 20 is to increase the feel good factor and make sure I’m living my life, not just being a spectator. With all the suggestions I could have had a couple extra on this list.....they may just be bonuses.

There’s a fair amount of exercise related missions - i find its a huge factor in keeping the happy factor going, and it’s been lacking for the last 15 months.. the other major thing is focussing on one thing and not be distracted by phone or tablet,

            1) read 20 new to me books,
            2) watch 20 new to me films
            3) swim 20 miles (not in one go, I’d look like a prune)
            4) cook 20 new meals
            5) go on 20 walks 1/20 complete thanks to the walk to train station in the early hours of yesterday morning
6)20 items decluttered each month (can be averaged)
            7) 20 social outings
8)knit 20 squares for kitty blankets and take completed blankets to local animal shelter
            9) 20 bike rides
            10)20 yoga classes
            11) 20 pamper me sessions
            12) 20 lazy days
            13) enjoy 20 “good cause” cakes
            14) have 20 topless drives
            15) save 20 £20s
            16) print and frame 20 photos of 2020
17)20 meals to the food bank
            18) eat 20 vegetarian meals
            19) unsubscribe from 20 mailing lists 3/20 complete:T
            20) plant 20 bulbs

Now off for the unlisted 20 minutes of kitty fuss....
I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.
I work to live, not live to work.
I love to live & live to love.
