Nsd 7/12 today
Cathybird, I'm very fond of my car too, new to me 10 years ago and it's 21 years old next year! Never had any trouble from it except needed a new clutch last year (I sold the existing personalised number plate which paid for the clutch;))
Vanlady, mine was second-hand too, only a couple of years old when I got it but now 16 and is still going strong
Even the thing with the brakes today I think was just standard wear and tear, they'd just got pretty bad. I've thought of selling it because I don't really need a car now and it's quite costly just to keep cars on the road, but I'm too fond of it! It will wear out eventually, I guess.
Twenty-one years old is really impressive though - hope it gives you many more years yet
