  • A busy weekend with 2 seperate days/nights out meant no NSD's and I was behind in my Monday prep, so I had to buy lunch, ruining my NSD again.

BUT!! I'm all set now to get some momentum, with no spends planned till Saturday.

shopaholicnumber1, I always think a helpful way to tackle this challenge is to split the month into 3 lots of 10 days and divvy up your target accordingly. So if you're aiming to do 15 NSDs, you'd do 5 NSDs in the first 10 days, another five in the middle 10 days of the month and then another five in the last 10 days. That way you avoid letting them all bunch up at the end of the month and running out of month. We're on day 9 and you've already got 4 NSDs under your belt. So you're pretty much bang on target. Even if tomorrow is not an NSD, you can catch up pretty easily, especially if you have more NSDs planned in the coming few days. I think you're doing fine! xx :A And well done on NSD number 4! :) :T:T

Thanks Cathy - that's reassuring! I've done well in October and November and seem to be failing miserably this month! Last night should have been a NSD but a colleague came into my office clutching 3 huge pizzas around 4pm for a Jacobs Join we are having today! Had totally forgotten about it so had to stop at A1di on the way home for a basket full of stuff ... £20 later of unplanned spends and another failed NSD!

However, there should be no reason why I need to spend anything else for the rest of the week so I can stop fretting! Plus it's December so I must be realistic! Am so impressed with everyone's efforts - its so hard at this time of year x

Absolutely shopaholicnumber1, NSDs are tricky anyway because they can easily be derailed by colleagues or other unexpected factors, and that's especially so in December, but really the main thing is just to keep focussing and going on, and don't give up :) :T:T

Not an NSD for me because I got a cab to a medical checkup and then bought some medication. Don't think I will be spending anything else today though so a low-spend day at least. :)
  • A quick hello - and ‘reporting’ in, as I am out this evening. Not spending ;) Happily another NSD for me, today. So 7/20 - makes my target seem possible. As posting and a few extra expenses later this week.

Well done Optimistic Saver :) :T:T You're a third of the way through your target and it's a third of the way through the month, your target is definitely possible :)
