Fun - played a board game with DS

Understand what motivates you - I want to halve our debt next year. I want more financial security and to have more options around our stressful jobs. I also have a few small jobs to do around the house and a garden makeover to do next spring!

  • Good evening...

Sorry I've been MIA... Struck down with something... flu? Chest infection? Ended up having to stay off work and not felt this crumby in years... but - on the up now... and will be sure to get some fresh air tomorrow. So just been gaming a bit and watching the odd movie. You'd think I'd have clocked up NSDs but ended up signing to A.Prime for movies etc and had to go out today for supplies briefly.

Re-boot tomorrow. I need to get my diet back on track as been living off toast and soup when I've felt hungry.

Hugs all... I'll chat more tomorrow x

Thank you all for your comments it's really kind! :)

Foodbank/charity donation - waiting for the second DD to go through, Crisis donation done.
Eat well - was pretty good today.
    Savings/debt repayment - done.
Treat yourself - nothing today, I went home sick from work and just slept all afternoon after voting.
    Invitations - no further invitations.
Very merry Christmas - nothing today.
Exercise - I walked to the voting station but that's about as good as it gets right now sadly. I had big plans for the gym this week but have to allow myself to recover. Had a telephone consultation with a private gp who reckons I have a sinus infection hence the constant headache that won't shift. Makes sense now.

    Fun - nothing again today.
    Understand what motivates you.
NSDs - Aim for 15 NSDs. Still on 7/15. Went to buy some appropriate medication and some Vicks about an hour ago to help my sinuses. While in the supermarket I picked up a voucher as a gift for someone so ruined the NSD but I needed to buy it regardless and at least it was quiet when I was there. Have done a steam thing with Vicks and a towel over my head and feel a million times better already. Off to bed now, hopefully feel better in the morning.
  • Lcc86- congrats on the masters, I ride a friends "spare" horse, I can pretty much hack him out whenever I have time which is less often than i'd like. The hacking round us is great provided you don't mind a bit of road to get to it. Luckily the boy I ride is bomb proof in traffic.
Spends involved today but kept it minimal and have previously batch cooked meals out of the freezer for tomorrow- I now have a small space in a freezer drawer.
I have been using up stuff and today started the last bottle of conditioner in my stash, and finished a lip balm. I'm sure they breed in my kitchen drawer though, as I still have at least fifty million of the things.
Festive fun today as the school nativity/show was on, so cute. Am so impressed with how well the staff and pupils put on a brilliant performance every year.
Not much else to report, but if I don't mention that I've sorted out my car insurance over the next few days give me a kick - must sort it out before it gets so close to being due that I decide it must be sorted and don't compare and research enough to get the best deal!
Hope everyone voted- I have a bit of a thing about using your vote, democracy and having a voice is not available everywhere and we should utilise it. I have colleagues who "never" vote and I find it hard to deal with them complaining about policy or decisions when they don't take their chance to put a cross in a box! And that's as political as I'm going to get!

Lcc - drink gallons of water. It loosens up the congestion and gets it out. And avoid bananas(?!) And wheat. It worked for me in the days before I was coeliac. (Now I simply go for gallons of water)

Festive - Not feeling at all festive today. It is making decorations afternoon with DS4 today at school, will rock up for that. Free cup of tea. School fair made over £1250.00 for the PTA, they can afford to make me a cup of tea for that kind of profit.

At the foodbank 4 x next week - big donations (£2k) coming in from a supermarket, needs sorting and warehousing- free mice pie = party! Plus a food drive in the community.

Eat well - I have just had second breakfast. Had about 3 hours sleep and am in shock, or in grief, one or the other. Will make soup, dh is hungover after works do and wake. We now live in a little clump of red in a sea of blue.

Savings - yes. Will remortgage now.
Treat yourself - no idea today.

Invitations - only to do with the foodbank - how sad is that?

Very merry Xmas - starts after service and mot (on car, not on me) on Monday.
    Exercise - nope
Fun - can I be excused from fun today please. Not in the mood.

Understand - cannot understand anyone's motivations today

foxholes, sorry you're feeling rough. Completely understand it, though I think I'm in denial. I'm often very proud of being English (never identified with Britain or the UK, for various reasons too political to mention here) but today, not so much. I wish I was on a little red island, but I'm in the deep blue sea .... I comfort myself with remembering that there's a little speck of green in my county. I don't have the words, not really, but you're not alone.

    Gratitudes?
    - right now, I have enough.
    - my family, even my extended family in various parts of the world, are safe right now.
    - from the sublime to the ridiculous, I've written out 40% of my Christmas cards (which isn't very many).

Completely agree Foxholes, though it is Tory central where I live, and pretty much always has been. Forelock tugging lot. I will really, really struggle to feel sympathy when the people currently crowing on social media lose their jobs or benefits, can't get the medical treatment or care that they need, can't get their child into a school that is fully staffed and not falling down etc etc. I suppose for that reason I am not a nice person :D
And to cap it all my boiler has given up the ghost
