New neighbours don't get the etiquette

Get someone else, preferably big and burly, to leave notes saying "Please park to maximise the available space." on the neighbours car - whilst slowly increasing the inconvenience caused by the notes.0

I believe, in London at least the Council can mandate no parking at new build sites.0 -

The new neighbour has told me I'm not allowed to park near her house. She has parked her car on the road. That's fine, I don't mind that it's a public road. I annoy her by parking my people carrier opposite her house.
I have to park it there or take someone else's spot.
So before she moved in the other day everyone had their "spot" that everyone abides by. There's 7 parking places on our road, it's a public highway. My neighbours occupy 5 of them leaving one free usually for visitors etc. The free one is also in front of her house. So there's two parking spaces in front of her house I. Could park in someone else's spot and make them park there's where I usually park mine, but that's not neighbourly. So the new neigh our instead of parking in one spot she deliberately covered both spots out of spite. It wasn't a problem as I just took one of the other spaces until they moved.
I'm the one that parks on the road, neighbour doesn't like it. I want to be nice to the neighbour, but have very few options other than parking in the spot I usually park in.
I guess I'll have to just continue and she will have to keep occupying two spaces when she's being an idiot.
I'm not bothered but she is and I don't want to annoy her but I have no choice.
Doth protest too much.0 -
Would you be willing to go and see her perhaps with a bottle of wine or some flowers, and try an work out an amicable solution, you could then put both your points across and try and work something out, maybe nothing will come of it but it will show you are the bigger person and you have tried to offer some solutions if it does turn nasty, falling out with your neighbours is very nasty, and I speak from personal experience0

It is like that everywhere, only have parking on a new build for something like 1.6 cars as they want us to go to work and shop on our bikes or use public transport,.
No thought that a car doesn't have to be used, but if we have one for occasional use we do want somewhere for visitors and workmen to park.0 -

Yes I would be. That's a good idea. Thanks. If it doesn't work I think I'll continue to be a !!!! and just park there anyway.
It's not my place I get it. But she doesn't get that others will just park there, better someone who might move to accommodate her than someone walking into town eh?0 -
A pic of the rd and her drive would help. Can you post one?
Talking to all the other neighbours about the rd being a free for all is a good idea0 -
adonis wish we had the 1.6 places for cars to park! 13 year old estate with 1 parking place per 4 bed house! Plus the roads are too narrow for parking unless you go half onto the pavement.
That is modern planning for you and we are in rural Lincolnshire where land is cheap.0
