Hi (No 73 here)
Please add £50 start for July (July total £50)
Take care everyone, thanks Julicorn4 -
Bit of a stumble at the first hurdle. We've decided to have the garden done before making overpayments - it will only be two months and then we will start in earnest. It just seems a good idea to get it done and be able to enjoy it, and at least get all the mess out of the way. I've been reading a few more of the diaries, and can't wait to get going. Its a lovely feeling"Think of many things, do one"

Good morning everyone
Have been seeing some good and encouraging stories of OPs, paid up mortgages and “little hurdles to cross” and it’s all very motivating and keeps me pushing forward although it seems a long way to go! So much to do and so little money it seems but a little here and a little there and we will all get there! Rome was not built in one day so the saying goes!#136 reporting OP of £15+£15+£400 making total OP for July £430 so far. Thanks as always for the good work @julicorn.

Hi
Number 80 here with a couple of months updates:
May was total of £75
June was a total of £500.
thank you so much4 -
hello. #21 here again earlier than expected as I thought I was already done with my mortgage payments for July. With the dismal statements released by the ONS and OBR earlier today, here is my personal attempt for positive news.... I have paid another £125 towards the mortgage courtesy of some reimbursed work expenses incurred in early March on my personal card. This brings the total mortgage payments in July to £1,375.
It now means that we are technically ‘mortgage neutral’ (whoop!). Although as per previous posts, this euphoria will be short lived as house renovations are now well and truly underway with the roof currently being fully replaced and the interior works scheduled to start in the coming weeks. Fortunately, the new kitchen was bought (and paid for) at the end of last year so that’s one less cost to have to account for now. We’re also able to temporarily move to a friend’s empty house at no cost for the duration of the internal works which will benefit both us and the builders whilst they work onsite. This opportunity to stay away from home will also double up as our summer ‘lockdown’ holiday. So, not really enough news to counteract the fact that the backside is falling out of the economy but I guess you have to celebrate the small wins while you can 🙂 Onwards and downwards (with the mortgage!) Thanks,7 -
#93 - another £10, taking me up to £205 for July so far.
