I've just realised that my main Lloyds account is going to end up in credit on pay day!!!

Ok it's only going to be about £2 but in credit non the less! How good is that!

    Afternoon.

Been really busy and I am actually getting things done which is nice.

But I worked out a very exciting thing this morning, not only will I be in credit by payday, but I will go into 2008 with my debt standing below £14,000 :D All of my debt repayments go out before the 1st so I am really excited!

I'm going to leave listing on Ebay until after christmas now as I am going to be away and I wont be able to post anything anyway, but I thought I would share my sub £14k news with you. Hopefully I will start the year as I mean to go on and get rid of as much debt as I can.

  • Hi Lucy,
I've just noticed this post on MSE, I'm pleased to have found people who understand about depression/weight/debt (though, of course not please that other people are having to go through it)
I've been on and off anti-depressants for about 5 years now, am about 6 stone overweight (lost 2 stone end of last year and have put 1 back on), and am about 16k in debt......
It all gets in a spiral, and when one gets worse another one follows. I think I'm starting to break the spiral now, have been seeing a psychologist, dietician and have joined this website!!!
If you ever want to talk you can PM me and I can give my hotmail - there is a light at the end of the tunnel!!
(PS: well done for getting below the £14k - keep up good work!)

    Thanks for that.

I am feeling a little better although will be much happier which 2008 gets here, for some reason I have it in my head that things will be better then .

Things do spiral and I have put on about 1 1/2 stone in the last couple of months  but I will just have to work hard at getting it off and remember that these things are not a competion and will happen in their own good time. This site is great and keeping you positive and there are wonderful people here who will cheer you up when ever you feel down and will make you laugh even though you have tears rolling down you face.

So here is to 2008 and making it Our year!

  • definitely - and you must be feeling a little better to be positive about next year?
Don't worry about the weight gain, you're right, it's not a competition and it's much easier when one isn't putting one's self under pressure about it, I always find if i do that, it's just another thing I feel like I've failed when I don't achieve my ridiculous targets!
Something useful my dietician said to me is "when you're about to eat something ask yourself 'is this goign to be of benefit and have nutritional value for my body'". If the answer is no, then we shouldn't eat it. Easy said than done, but it has helped me this week from staying clear of the chocolate at work!!

    That's a very good idea.

I have heard a similar one which is:

No food tastes as good as being slim makes you feel.

But it is amazing what you can manage to not think about when you really want chocolate!! I do feel more positive about 2008, but I think that it's a fresh start and a new year, if you know what I mean.

    Morning.

I am SO tired today and I don't know why  I went to bed really early last night so have no excuse.

But another busy day, I haven't heard from my boss as assume his Dad is still bad and he isn't coming in.

2 Day's until payday and I can start my real debt repayments! I'm still looking forward to it, just not sure where the energy is going to come from at the moment.

Still I will find it, I always do.

    Afternoon.

Feeling really low today. I have loads of work to get out and people just keep adding to it. I am on holiday all next week, my boss is unavailable as his Father is so ill and I just feel really over whelmed by it all.

I also have a nasty head ache which is making me feel ill. I'm not sure whether I want to cry or go to sleep.

Not a good day and I am far to busy to be feeling like this, I have no energy whatsoever!!! I really don't know what to do.....
