That's the spirit :T. Think of the money you save on heating (do NOT think of what you spend on chocolate).

As for when that feeling starts you may as well know that
    a) Oh yeah...it is happening again and
    b) it will happen again (this one is a pretty sure bet)
so you may as well go with the flow. When it's over you will feel nowhere near as exhausted if you don't fight it and you will have some energy left to do something you fancy (maybe have some chocolate WITHOUT feeling guilty). You will also have the enormous satisfaction of thinking "OK... I got throught this one... I feel better now... so THERE !!! "

I think that is the key. i am best when I keep busy because then my mind can wander into all the negative thinking.

I scrapbook as a hobby so I have started making a book for my Best Friends Birthday in May. keeps me busy and it'll make a nice present.

That is a great idea. Your friend will certainly feel very special as you have spent time making a very personal gift rather than just popping in a shop, and your bank account will not suffer as much.

That's what I thought and it will keep me busy, it's only a little 6x6 one and I'm going to include little memories and stories as well.

I thought it would be more personal and I can always get her a little something to go with it.

Scrap booking is such fun, although I did one for my cousins wedding in May 07 I haven't finished it (I was going to give it to them on either 1st Christmas or 1st anniversary) but they have already split up!!!

Sea - I hope you're well. I used to read your diary and I have to say that I found it an inspiration. I tend to have a positive attitude but, when it didn't work, you often helped me put things in perspective.

    Grrr

Just had a phone call from the benefit counter in boots. Apparently the girl who was meant to do my make-up tonight is off sick and there is no one else to do it. So I can't have it done.

Looks like tonight is destined to be a disaster.

  • hello!!

I've just been reading through your diary here, hope you don't mind me snooping!

btw tonight will not be disaster, and if it's the make up which is a problem, try youtube; I found some really helpful vids on it showing how to do it like a pro!! (I'm rubbish at make up usually :) )

Reading your diary made me think; I'm not alone in all this!!!! I'm going to amend my sig and diary and pop in a weight loss challenge for myself as well!

Take care and I'll probably be back....

    (ps have fun tonight xxx)

No you are not alone. I'm ok with make-up and normally manage a good job, but it's not having it done professionally. Still I will treat myself to some nice things with the vouchers anyway.

Good Luck with the weight loss and let me know how you get on

Lucy I hope your xmas party goes well. I've got mine today too and I'm dreading it too. I had everything ready to go this morning but the trousers I needed to wear didn't fit (put on weight too  ) so I've had to panic buy a pair at lunchtime so I know how you feel. Everyone seems to be getting all dressed up and all I've got to wear is so boring and cack and I just know I'll feel like a pile of s**t/whale. I had such a hard time geting into work today - hyperventilating and retching (tmi sorry :o ) and panicing about being round people. I even managed to be late for a meeting too :o . I'm just trying to break it into small bits... 1) get changed, 2) get on the bus, 3) find the place, 4) go in have a drink and be proud I've got that far when all I want to do is go home and hide!

I'm hoping it will get easier but even if it doesn't and I leave v early at least I went and tried to do it. Good luck tonight! :D
