Some very welcome news today from me been offered full time permanent work which is just what I wanted. Really pleased means I do not have to job hunt constantly and first permanent job in 6 years I've had 4 in that time this is number 5.

Almost the weekend done 5 sessions at the gym and have PT tomorrow so bailing out this evening. Will use it to make some date chocolate balls instead and chill. It's freezing down here having to cover my seedlings up at night.
    Super news TG.

Thanks and the good news keeps coming £25 won on the premium bins thinks it’s the right decision to top that up rather than regular savers.

Quite tired feel like it's been a long week and lots of people cramming things in before Easter.  Bit worried about our BA flights as they are cancelling a lot still not booked parking need to do that. Gym still going well had to skip yesterdays second class as we thought carpenter was coming. He cancelled so done 4 this week and one tonight plus PT tomorrow to get to our min 6. Have not lost any weight but been naughty and eaten Danish sweets from hidden in the loft. Dg doesn't know and she's been really good. Food under control so that's all good.

Dg is working long hours with her new 3 day job as she has to fit her self employment around that. She's enjoying it but not the 4 hour travel. Looks like im getting my 5 lost days leave back so can definitely have a week in Scotland and go and see the family in Denmark. My niece is also coming over and I can take more time off at Christmas.

They did offer to pay me back for it as I had bought it but think I'd rather have it as leave.

Spent quite a bit on the house recently and with the bills going up including we're coming out of our intro rate for Virgin it's quite annoying really. Luckily we've finished paying off our bed and sofa on interest free credit so that will cover the utility increase.

I'm still saving £500 and the same in premium bonds so all is fine. Just wish we would get some warmer weather soon. So so cold and windy here.

Saved £37 a month (nearly half) by haggling with virgin very happy all done by WhatsApp so no hanging on the phone.

More gardening today dg is working. Still need to book parking at Heathrow and do a final Tesco shop. The joys but the sun is shining so that’s all good.

Forgot to post this about a week ago so here you go:

Having a lovely time in Ireland dgs relatives are really genuinely nice. It’s been quite cold but getting warmer not as warm as home.

Diet a bit tricky but trying to eat just food that’s worth it. Lots of drinks though even made the Guinness tour in Dublin.

Happy Easter to you all here’s an Irish castle

Proper actual update from today lol

Been gardening this morning inspired by Monty and crew last night. All looking lovely now just need some turf for a small bit of the garden. Got the following crops growing now in the ground quite happy with myself.

    Strawberries
    French beans
    sugar snaps
    carrot
    lettuce
    radish
    courgette

waiting indoors are tomatoes and in the cold frame and pots
    dild
    Parsley
    chives
    tarragon
    thyme x 2
    coriander

Got loads on annuals from that big MSE offer I'll post picture so you can see the cold frame. Definitely worth the £3 and 5 packs of seeds as well.

Even donated some to a coffee morning at the club but couldn't bear to part with my seedlings so just gave them spare herbs.

Also sorted out a winter Jasmin which now has a proper trellis to climb over the changing room a win for both as you now cannot see into it which is also a good thing. Pool bar all set up for summer pool is still dirty and 15c hottub lovely and warm but needs a clean.

Stitch has been in yet another fight and is limping going to try and keep him in between 7 and 9pm as that's when he's come back beaten up. He is neutered but we have seen  him in the next close to us so he's on someone's else's patch naughty boy. Elmo is really unsettled after us being a way very cuddly and cute but can also bite.

Finances ok spent a fair bit in Ireland but still ok to top up savings and pots. Golf club is due to be paid in lumps sums saves money and gym membership is also due but only £200 so quite cheap for 24/7 with loads of classes.

Need to do some work now dg is already as her desk. Didn't get that much done Friday so only fair.

Remember this is how I got them so you can see the growth in that time

Oh TG, your plants look lovely.  When my plants arrived, they had been in the box over a week, they somehow got lost in the post and half of them were dead and dried out.  I did manage to plant out the others, but I was not that impressed by what I got in the offer and would not use them again.

The castle looks good, hope you had a chance to walk around a few of them.

Enjoy the hot tub!  Far too cold to be setting mine up. Needs to warm up significantly before that happens!

That’s so annoying re your plants I would complain they are usually real good. Not your fault they got lost. I’ve only lost two out of the 48 so far so good value as I got give seeds too.

Been to see a friends puppy today just so cute and tiny.

Watched Bargain loving Brits in the sun so could see myself escaping the winter and living there when retired. Cats might not lol.

Got accepted for a gardening research project. Homework and a zoom session but £80 fee. Excellent return and something I love talking about. Will be spent on the garden for sure.

    Bedtime now night night.

Morning lovely long weekend really enjoyed it. Friday we played 9 holes was lovely and Saturday golf too such amazing hot sunshine. We were due to see a tribute Singer (pink) at our local pub and got invited next door for a BBQ beforehand. Ended up not going out in the end lovely evening and a lot cheaper lol.

Some garden progress but not a lot bought a lovely arch to grow veg up but couldn't be put together wrong parts so annoying.  Sunday saw DGs aunt did some shopping and Monday played in a team comp. First 18 holes in ages and felt fitter even if feet tired.

Friends coming down for DGs birthday this Saturday then my mum arrives Weds week so trying to organise a pamper day for her and also get dg sorted plus a confirmation in Denmark. No idea how I got so far behind.

    So so bad.

Garden doing really well time to plant out all my summer bedding hopefully during the week so it's all nice for my mum. Let's see how I get on also need to do some washing and make sure all is nice for friends coming down.

Hope you all have a lovely week.
