Sorry I've not posted for nearly a month things have just been hectic and I don't know where the time has gone. You'd think I've got more time now I'm part time would appear not.DD has finished her work taking a bit of time off before starting 4th Oct. Looks to be a good set up quite a lot of induction training being offered and she got her photos done yesterday by someone we used to volunteer with. She doesn't like the photos but I think they are nice and it will only be a head shot for their website.Mine work is fine busy sorting out by old place of work and lots of things going on. Getting good support but still taxing and feel like I don't know what I'm doing. Colleague who came over to the team with me feels the same so that's reassuring.Money wise I've been allowed to keep myLondon waiting actually they insisted on it so that's a bonus. Means I was only £600 down last month this month should be the true reflection on my wages so we shall see.Trip to Denmark for the confirmation was lovely and spent time with my mum afterwards too. Ate and drank too much and felt I'll most of the time. Got a cold from DD just before we left still got a sore throat but it wasn't COVID.Been playing more golf mouth my game is not good. Can't actually play in a medal as I rack up big scores which I shouldn't at my level.Cats a lovely so much fun and enjoying the garden even got in the pool Thursday. Off to the local gala in a minute then golf then meeting friends in Spoons. Busier than I would have liked it but still all good. Taking DDs aunt out for Sunday lunch tomorrow plus a trip to the Range for Halloween goodies.Hope you're all well enjoy the weekend.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Sorry for the long absence don't know where the time goes despite only working 4 days. All is fine though did loose my London waiting in the end but it's fine I have lost £60p off my full time wages but to be fair I would I lost my London waiting anyway had I kept my old full time job so that would have been £300 off.I'm really enjoying my new job I get given responsibility and work to do so that is all good. I can use my old skill set which is great and it's rewarding too when you come up with a good solution the network has not thought about. Going up to My old office soon to meet new managers plus old some old work mates should be good.Dg has started but not really got into to. Some IT and phone issues to iron out but some potential clients from friends so that is not bad. She's going to work today Sunday as she had Thursday off to play golf. She's given notice on her membership going to have the winter off. She's just not in the right mindset when the game doesn't go her way. It's sad but it's the anxiety that's rife so hopefully with the ITalk programme she's doing it should help.Made.com unit is going back the doors will not behave. Went looking for replacement no 4 at the weekend. They are giving us a full refund so managed to find one we both love draws only in Oakfurnitureland. Actually £150 less so that's a bonus. Went to the local charity shop and found a sweet old toy chest which we can use as temporary solution £10.Garden all packed down for the winter and I'm hoping to save some plants for next years pots to keep cost down. Pool bar will have a Halloween theme soon which should be fun. I also got a bargain on some second hand pallet frames for the new veg patch in the front garden. Saved myself £120 over B&Q and I think these are better quality.I'm playing golf today in a club match with dinner afterwards. Should be good then home to pack up the sideboard to go back.Hope you enjoy your Sundays.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Another week gone and I played really well in the club match so much I actually played in the medal Thursday and got 73 which is about my handicap first time all year really happy with that. Playing today just nine holes with a friend. Nice to finally make some progress dg can't leave unless it's a medical condition but it will only be until end of Dec so not long. She's getting sorted with self employment lots for her to do but she's meeting up with some contacts soon so hopefully get some clients. Still enjoying my work still working Thursday afternoons but off when I want it. Going to the vets tomorrow so will take some back then.
Spent £200 on a potting bench and cold frame in one. It is actuallyMSE as I can take cuttings from this years annuals and have them next year. Also it can be divided into two and used separately so saves me buying both. Finally saved £50 buying it directly from the place that makes them rather than Marshall's whose stuff I do love. I did spend the extra £50 on a self watering tray for the top of it. Had one before but gave it way so will be good to get a new one.Painted my raised beds black looks fab ready for next season cannot wait to get started.Sewing will be my next project once the garden is packed up for the year. Decorated the pool bar yesterday for Halloween and had jerk chicken from the Spice box in there. Nice evening here's a few pictures. The cats hated the head as it moves lights up and makes noises. Elmo was seriously freaked out. Having the neighbours over for Halloween should be fun.Save £12k in 25 No 49

DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks everyone we did have a good evening with next door and their kids. They are so well behaved and loved the fire we had set up. Family lovely too and my chilli and jackets were great.Nearly did not happen as I had an all day meeting in London on Thursday and had planned to meet some old colleagues afterwards. Dg was coming too but she ended up staying in Hertfordshire with her friend and getting the train down. I then went back with her rather than train it back home. All good until we left her house at 11am and got on the M25. We got stuck there for 4 hours with no breakfast and didn't get food or loo break until 4 pm. Finally got home at 6.30 not going back there for a while best laid plans lol.Meg with new manager for the first time in person was lovely also good to see overall boss. Fab next she's offered me 5 months of full time. Really happy about that said yes straight away it's from December so just need to make sure I can get my leave ok. I'll save everything about my part time wages will give a good buffer zone to stick in premium bonds.Lots of plans around the house today but weather awful. Going to hit some balls on the range this afternoon but that's it. I have a Monday off as I worked Thursday.Take care hope it's not too wet out your way.PS picture is from H&M in Soho I've got them frowning outside my garden wall going to pick the rest they are even bigger than these ones lol.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Afternoon enjoying another Thursday off didn't even play golf today just wanted to do stuff like life admin and then got a call at 3.30 door work.Been into town to find a pair of slippers I need 7.5 but they never have any. Ended up ordering online hopefully they will fit if not they can go back. Also sent message to GP about my hips pain, called her dresser, booked dentist appointment and checked my Nationwide account I've lost log in for an address is correct and still got money in it.My fitness is still only at the two PT sessions w week still not been back to the gym which is a total waste. Eating not going great either had my free Greggs treat for my birthday and a latte at Nero. I pre ordered so got 1 free coffee and won on their cracker game two stamps so have enough for 3 free drinks.Looked in charity shop for dress for our drag show in December should be possible to get something just not quite sure what as going my train so lon is not idea as walking to theatre. My new potting bench and cold frame is up protecting my cutting which is actualy a saving on buying plant next year although it was really expensive. I'll put a picture up. Managed to cut down another 24 stems of Pampas so more to give away lol. Wish I could sell them for £10.50 outside of Soho but so many around here so doubt it.Still need to get boiler sorted Briths Gas cancelled our appointment and the plumber who installed it is not answering. I'll have to try someone else soon it should have been done in July. Also a couple of cat pictures just because they are cute.Save £12k in 25 No 49
