I'm having a lovely time thanks gone really quickly now in my second week. Summerhouse was gorgeous and the beach rugged and wild. Sadly a bit chilly while the UK was roasting. Dg went back Sunday morning so I've pottered at my mums seeing my dad, shopping and sorting my banking out. Nightmare due to large fees so closed the account kept some in cash here and transferred £6k back to the UK.Plan is to buy premium bonds makes more sense than paying fees here.Got loads of lovely stuff sandals, rye bread tins and clothes. Need to loose a lot of weight so sweets I've bought will be put away.Dg is resigning as I write. Feels scary but I know deep down it is the right decision. I think she can do it and I should be a lot better for her mental health. I'll keep you posted lol. Here's some pictures before I head off to my friend tonight.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Lovely pictures. beautiful place.
Resigning sounds like it will be best for her. My workplace has many different professions, and teams within teams. What is common though is people finding support by gaining and enjoying a work family. I hope your GF finds some of that.Mortgage restart June 2018 £119950Re mortgage August 19 £110470, … Mortgage November 22 £85600 final 0% CC 3300Home renovations - £65000, mid 2018 - mid 20220 -
Thanks MFD she resigned yesterday just as he proposed she was put on a performance improvement plan. She agrees she’s not productive but it’s because he changes everything and has a need to overrule what she does on all areas. Unworkable so best solution. She’s been quite unlucky had a nice game at Ladies Captains Day but when she got in a committee member was adamant she was breaking travel rules by not self isolating. She’d done everything so was in the right but it created such a fuss she chose to leave. So she missed out big time but I don’t blame her for leaving stupid ignorant person even if other man weren’t then she still felt uncomfortable. Rubbish situation and now she feels even less inclined to join in.On my way back travelling by train to the airport. Upgraded to Business Class again taking loads of stuff back and the lounge will be nice as I’m really early. Hope there’s no chaos as Heathrow DG got straight through but I’m on a Danish passport. Let’s hope they know the rules. It’s my birthday tomorrow so it’s also a treat from DG for they. New job Monday look forward to that. Think I’m going to stick with the part time role and not apply for the full time post and maybe extra hours will come up. Would be nice to have the two days off.Save £12k in 25 No 49

So birthday done and dusted and first week done of new job. My new line manager seems really good new herself so we are both finding our feet. Got some projects coming up already should be interesting but lots of learn. Decided not to go for the full time role but say I'd be interested if more hours or days became available later on. Just think if it goes back to full time on the road I think 3 days is enough.Golf yesterday got in just before it rained which was lovely and met with several of the ladies from the club which was nice. I'll be playing with them on a Thursday already signed up for next week.Fitness and diet going well now been twice to BodyPump at the gym and worked out with PT twice too. Done quite a bit of gardening today really windy and got tip run booked for tomorrow. Still a bit more to do but do not feel like it right now. So overgrown while away but love the produce.Poolman has been today pool lovely and clean now let's get the nice weather back. Hottub had been playing up since we got back dg refilled it and the jets just weren't right. Poolman spotted it was the flow valves that had been moved so turned them and all back to normal thank goodness.PT on holiday now for a week but will send us workout videos so will do those we we keep in a routine. Also better diet should help shift the weight although brought sweets back and eating them in secret from DG which is bad I know.Plan is to play golf every Thursday with the ladies or go away like I did yesterday. Then Fridays will be gardening, sewing, home stuff and studying as I have several things I want to finish such as the MSE Open Uni corse for starters maybe some linked in stuff too. I'll make a plan but this is only week one to taking it easy lol.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Hello TG. Been away dealing with my own issues, so am just catching up on everyone. Glad the new job is looking like it will shape up to be what you want - having a new boss to the team will give a new perspective. It's needed I think, the Org has been infuriating me no end recently. So much of the background info is either missing or changed beyond recognition. And now, we need a 'Dealing with Aggression' course for the staff and it isn't available? Really??? Anyway, hopefully all will be good for you, and a PT job as well. I can only dream of such luxuries!
Sorry to hear about DG. I would think that her resignation is the best all round. She hasn't been happy for a while and being micromanaged when she knows what she is doing can be soul destroying. I hope that she gets the time to finish grieving, and then to find a job that she actually enjoys and allows her the room to expand an grow. Can be so difficult nowadays.
Great that the veg is doing so well. You are making the most of the garden, both providing food and a place to relax Excellent set up.
Hopefully will stay on line a bit more this month!

Thanks for popping in yes sounds like you're having issues too I'll pop over to your diary to catch up soon. Yes dg ended to resign best all round and she's signed up with a company to do self employed consultancy. She will need to find her own clients so if you know of any council or housing association tenants who are not getting their repairs done that's the area of work she's looking at.I'm loving self employed but not liking the never being on top of things at work. I was looking forward to week three being reading the stuff I've been given but no such luck as I got my first project late Friday. So annoyingly something I'd told them about 5 weeks ago was likely to land on our team but of course it's now urgent.Been offered support so that's all good still looking forward to it just do not feel I know my own job after 6 days to take on a project but I said yes.Played golf badly (I came last lol )yesterday but nice to see people and next week it's a comp I cannot enter so I'll be seeing my IFA instead. Looks like the next two weekends golf are out as they are medals and my game is so rubbish right now.Tonight it's a party with some old friends getting a cab there and back but no big expense actually cheaper than taking the bus.Done a bit already let me list it and it's only 11am lol.Sown radish and lettuce
Planted rhubarb
Watered out the front still need to do back
Added chlorine to pool struggle with cloudy water
Made musli for next week
Two loads of washing on on the line need to do 3
Stripped and made bed in spare room bar pillow cases which are in the wash
Booked IFA appointment and sorted some account stuff out
Still got more to do but want to chill as well and having lunch soon. This afternoon a company is coming to look at the doors of our new tv unit they stick really badly. I do hope they can fix them as it's a nice unit.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Hi TG, yes of course I do know of people who need support, regarding the clients, but DG would be taking the clients from my sols and it would affect my LAA contract!! Is she wanting to cover the country? Or work locally down south? I ask because an office close by are looking to get a solicitor for the next contract round. Not possible for her to consider this realistically, such a shame.
You have been so busy, you are putting me to shame. maybe I should go back and at least look like I am working! What I do not give, you must never take by force.

Afternoon writing from a wet South Coast good excuse not to do the garden lol.Tahlullah I understand where you're coming from but her new venture should not be taking any work away from your advisers unless they also offer CFA's. I assume they do legal aid which this area is not covered unless there is possession action at the same time. She will not be doing legal aid just disrepair on a no win no fee basis. Yes it is sad it has to be done like this but unless there are a solicitors who are grant funded this type of cases will not get legal support through to injunction and court enforcement. Hope that makes sense.Been to see my IFA so can actually post something money related. Weird my first face to face meeting with anyone since COVID.He's worked out I can easily afford to retire at 60 on an income of £24k a year which will last until I'm 95 and there're will still be a surplus. That's without the £3pa in my council pension and the £20k I currently have in my works pension. Dg as you know have no pension really other than A small £2k pa DB pension and a current workspension of £55k or so. Let's hope self employment suits her and she's happy to work longer. In work related news I'm now trying to work with my old work place as the CEO has resigned. Those of you who followed me will know how difficult that person was. Well let's so say things are a mess right now but hopefully can be sorted.Going to enjoy the rest of the afternoon as a lady of leisure after my spending spree in TK Max nothing for me and Tesco food only plus a free Nero with my points.Take care all.Save £12k in 25 No 49

The pension figures are great TG. A life of luxury and relaxation awaits once you get to 60. And it gets better once you reach 67!!What I do not give, you must never take by force.
