Well done! You put in a lot of effort; you followed the advice, and you didn't give up. Most of the time we don't know what has happened because a lot of people never return, so thanks for coming back to tell us the good news.
Normally we tell people not to identify themselves on here, but that's such a happy photo that I for one will make an exception.
I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

That's the one. When Daniel mentioned the rep in a long coat I thought about him but he was struck off by the SRA. Has some connection with Paul Bohill of DCBL. DCBL were engaged by Excel in the no show "hanging on the telephone" case.Redx said:

Madam Snake, you should be on the stage ....... HAGRID ....... hahahahahaSnakes_Belly said:
Actually he was a solicitor advocate. He now appears to have joined forces with Paul Bohill of DCBL (can't pay we'll take it way).beamerguy said:
haha, never heard of that one, really made me laughSnakes_Belly said:
Do you know the name of the rep? There was a barrister that was told off by the judge for dressing like Harry Potter. I think that he is not longer practicing now.
He was called Alan Blacker and other title's. He looks a bit like Hagrid and when Daniel mentioned the rep in the long black coat I thought that he may have rocked up at Elms.
"Judge David Wynn Morgan, sitting at Cardiff Crown Court, told him: ‘If you want to look like something out of Harry Potter you can forget coming to this court ever again."
This gets better and better2 -
I'll find out the name of the rep and judge for you. I left a review on google.

Thanks Redx for the link, defo a Hagrid look-a-like
Do DCBL still employ this Hagrid look-a-like, a benefits cheat ?
For Daniel and his lovely lady, they must now realise that their Excel fun and games came from a xmas cracker from last year that SRS pulled3 -
I don't know whether DCBL employ him or if he would have right of audience now. He appears to be in some kind of enterprise with a man called Paul Bohill who features regularly in the programme about bailiffs. It does sound though as if the rep in Daniel's case is also channeling the Hagrid look.beamerguy said:Thanks Redx for the link, defo a Hagrid look-a-like

What people don't understand is with the Soap opera "cant pay", the people get paid to make themselves look silly, just as Judge Rinder ... ITV pay the winner
Just like The Crown, it's all good TV drama. DCBL however have a business model to scare people but with all the bluster they produce, very little happens in the courts and if they do, they get spanked.
As this is a thread about Excel, SRS is running a business just like Arcadia and he cannot survive without money ... 80% down ... not much of a choice, it's either covid or the new code of practice

It will be like the banking crisis with capital and liquidity issues. SRS may have enough private funds to shore up or may not.
I wonder what will happen to the pipeline of claims when the new CoP is introduced. We know that it is not retrospective however it surely will have an influence and some of the PPC's are carrying a very large debtor book which must be mainly outstanding claims. How long some of these have been outstanding is anyone's guess. Technically debts outstanding over twelve months should not appear as debtors in the accounts and really should be written off. As we know they resurrect these old claims from time to time.
We have some interesting times ahead.
