My girlfriend received witness statement from Excel. The statement included exhibits of previous cases won by the parking firms, copies of the threatening letters they have sent and the photos of the car parked on the day and an aerial photo of the car park marked with the sign locations, number of spaces, etc. A lot of waffle was included. The case is due on 30th Oct. What should my gf expect on the day and is there any advice you people can give her? Thank you.

Witness statements from claimants are designed to shake, rattle and roll (you off the case), You/your girlfriend knows the facts and hopefully they are in her WS. Read the defence, witness statement again and know it well, be prepared to answer any of the questions about it that the judge night throw at you. Read the claimant's WS and be prepared to question whoever turns up from the claimant about any inaccuracies. You can use any threats by the claimant as evidence of unreasonable behaviour. Be respectful of the judge (call them Madam or Sir) and wait to be invited to speak - do not interrupt. If you have a point you want to make abut something the claimant has said, make a note of it and ask it when you are invited to speak. Compile a crib sheet in bullet points so that you know all the points you want to cover. Last item on the list is to ask for an order for costs when you win!3

Aerial photo marked how?
Is it notarised Signed and dated? How do you know these sign location markings have any bearing to real life? Can you spot any errors?3 -
Have they included a contract with the landOWNER? Yes or no
Is it complete Can you verify it? Is the named company a real company, on either side, and is it he same company as is taking you to court, exactly the same in every way?3 -
Can I take photos of the document and post them here?

Of course you can , just redact personal and private info , then upload the redacted pictures , or host them on a file sharing site
You only have to read other court case threads on here to see pictures being uploaded or embedded2 -
The landowner contract? yes, dont redact ANYTHING yourself from it, becasue of court NOTHING on the landholder contract is YOUR data.4

But you can surely start doing the steps I talked about? Checking company name is trivial. .1

What cases have they cited? I have seen their WS. Much of it is irrelevant twaddle. I doubt that a judge will read it.
