Fantastic numbers from Sweden for Apr with 22% of sales being BEV's. They've always been decent, but heavily favoured PHEV's in the past, for example - 5.5% BEV's / 31.5% PHEV's in Mch, but it looks like the tide has turned:
From April 1st, PHEVs now have their incentive cut from a previous range of €2,000 to €3,900 (depending on emissions) down to a range of €1,250 to €2,800 going forwards. That’s a loss averaging around €1,000 per vehicle, so caused a last minute pull-forward of PHEV purchases prior to the change.
BEVs, by contrast, are now gaining an additional ~€1,000 of rebate from April 1st, so saw a hold-back in March, waiting for the more generous incentives to come into effect. The total rebate for BEVs now stands at up to 70,000 SEK (€6,800), up to a maximum of 25% of the vehicle sticker price.

Sweden’s April Plugin Vehicle Share Above 43% — Volkswagen ID.4 Overall Best Selling Vehicle

Sweden saw plugin electric vehicle market share reach 43.1% in April 2021, up almost 2× year on year, with full electric vehicles alone at a record 22.2% share. This puts full electrics ahead of plugin hybrids for the first time in years. Volkswagen’s new ID.4 was the overall best selling vehicle in Sweden. Auto market volume as a whole was down 31% from pre-COVID norms.

Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

There are rumbles of 6 months delays on the giga Berlin model y.

Given the competition, especially in Europe, in this segment, I can see Tesla looking at shipping M Y from China to fill the gap rather than just ceding the segment to VW and the Koreans.
Are you sure about your 6 month claim, I thought the German Economic Minister said different? Are you confusing the issue with Tesla/Elon saying that there would be a 3 month delay, so that they could package the battery production application in with the original application?

I'm not claiming anything, just quoting the piece from eletrek which in turn quotes another source.  I was expecting production to start in June/July although I don't know where they are on the new form factor cells to go in the structural battery pack?
    I think....

Funny enough, I too was expecting production to start in Q3, as Tesla suggested Q4, but always seem to sandbag these days. But now Q4 may be 'true' as they seem to be suggesting it, even using words such as deliveries, rather than production, and ties in with their decision to sacrifice 3 months on the car factory, by adding the battery factory into the application, rather than starting a new one for it specifically.

55% BEV's in April sales, and ~12% of the whole fleet now BEV's. What's there to say other than all hail the mighty Norwegians.

Norway Plugin Electric Vehicles Take Over 80% Share In April

April 2021 saw plugin electric vehicles taking 80.1% market share in Norway, up from 69.6% in April 2020. Overall auto volume was back to seasonal norms, with 13,166 vehicles registered. The recent best selling full electric vehicle, the Audi e-tron, is now close to being caught by the new Volkswagen ID.4.

Zach addresses the issues why Mustang sales may appear to be falling, but I think the most important takeaway, certainly for Ford, and their thoughts / plans reagrding BEV's, is this line:
“We are selling every Mustang Mach-E we can build right now with days-to-turn on dealer lots of just 4 days.

Looks like German BEV sales may be consistently 10%+ from now on.

German April Plugin Electric Vehicles At 22.1% Share With BEVs Near Record High

April’s combined 22.1% result comprised just shy of 11.8% plugin hybrids (PHEVs) and 10.4% full battery electrics (BEVs), the second highest ever BEV share after the December 2020 peak (14%). 2021 year-to-date cumulative plugin share now stands at 21.8%, up almost 3x from 7.6% at this point in 2020.
