How Shell is reinventing the fuel station for EVs

I know it’s like the Braintree experience but lets not knock it if it happens.

So ..... it's only a number but 500,000 deliveries in 2020 would be a nice milestone for Tesla, especially as that number was mocked when it was first suggested for 2020 5yrs ago. In a Covid year the figure gets even more impressive.
But it's next year that could be a real shocker, with production and deliveries rising more than ~40% YOY, and instead possibly getting close to 1m vehicles. We now have expanded Chinese TM3 production to meet European demand that Freemont can't supply (having switched some TM3 production to TMY production for N. America. We also have the Chinese factory expansion now delivering TMY's (though of course early days). Giga Berlin will hopefully start deliveries this year, and Giga Texas may chuck out a few vehicles too before the end of 2021.

[Just a ponder, but perhaps the merger of FCA and PSA may result in a more EV focused company too going forward. And I'm sure it won't be the last merger as the legacy companies try to cut costs and compete on EV's.]

Tesla (TSLA) is inching closer to historic delivery goal with a day to go

    Tesla’s Q4 2020 delivery goal
The truth is that we don’t really know what Tesla’s delivery goal is for the quarter.
We assume that it is around 181,000 deliveries in order to achieve 500,000 deliveries in 2020, which has been a long-term goal for Tesla.
Electrek’s Take: It’s a victory no matter what
Let’s say that the goal is indeed 180,000 vehicles and Tesla misses it by 1,000 vehicles. That’s still the company’s new quarterly delivery record by 40,000 units.

Some nice cars there.  And a brand people will buy; VW could be onto a winner.  Remember, the second mouse gets the cheese.  ;)

Plenty of people collecting new Teslas at their Leeds place yesterday. I've swapped my Kona for a Model 3 LR. Had my first free go of a supercharger on my way home at Gonerby Moor with it's SIXTEEN!!! chargers. So simple even I could do it. Young Master Musk tweeted that all those collecting before midnight last night would get 3 months free full self driving, and, in UK there was supposed to be a year's supercharging. My car is showing neither so I've sent a snotty about it. It is more quiet than the Kona and it looks/feels fairly well put together.
Huge congrats mate. The 'old' leaf we got holds a place in my heart, but the Ioniq is much better, but the TM3 is just on a different level, it feels like the future. But having hauled loads of timber around the last month, with 4m lengths hanging out the back (with a bright flag of course), plus other building stuff, I have to say a TMY will be more practical, though it was a pleasant surprise to find 2.4m lengths of T&G went in with the boot shut, as they fitted between the front seats, and no handbrake or gearstick to interfere with.

Another target missed and production continues to outstrip sales ie demand constrained ..... ;)

SR+ Is Most Popular Tesla Model 3 Version In China

There are a lot of news stories around at the moment about Tesla’s production and deliveries but the reason I posted this one was purely the comment about LFP batteries in cars sold in China. The numbers really surprised me - only around 10k up to end of November.  I had been under the impression that the majority of MIC SR+ cars built October onwards were LFP. Were the first batch of LFP cars all sent to Europe?

Just curious to know if your LR was made in China and which battery it has. Is it a 2021 model year?

edit: 79 or 82kwh? Presumably US built but things can change with Tesla.
