Doing not a lot, eaten toast, sorted kitchen.

Dishes washed, bed made, I'm dressed. In midst of washing dog beds and have started on a village project. Think I have seriously underestimated how long it is going to take. Probably all day, maybe tomorrow too.Spend less now, work less later.0

Morning all - well afternoon lol
Most important and urgent job ticked off - popped to local independent motor spares shop to but new headlight bulb and get it fitted. Since I am obliged to drive on unlit roads, some of which are narrow not having lights is a bit of an issue. Think I spotted that it had gone very quickly.
Today I need to process the school Christmas Card order. Since I am also an employee of the school and use a school laptop I don't fall foul of GDPR.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hi all
Well, a pretty awful few days here. DS1 was finally admitted to hospital on Wednesday after being sent away by the GP with migraine tablets. He has viral meningitis and is now home and recovering.
Feel really flat, just seems to be one thing after another at the moment and I am under so much pressure at work. Suppose I should be glad there is only 4 weeks left to Christmas and then I get a week off!
Scrubbed the bathroom this morning, did a mealplan and a freezer inventory before we went to Li@l. Need to log into online banking and update finance spreadsheets but not overly enthusiastic about that idea!!0 -
pigpen - did they deliver your grocery order in bags? (asking for a friend :rotfl:)
I am not getting the delivery until Monday but I never have it delivered in bags anyway.. I have millions of the darn things in the cupboard I don't need any more. I have a pile next to the front door and load them up when they get here if they don't like waiting then it is toughLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

OH sent off to pick up Meem and buy kitten food from Mr T .. They eat sooooo much! lol. I've just got the vouchers through for them to be snipped/filleted so can get that booked in soon.
I have spent most of the afternoon folding and putting away laundry. I found a sofa!! And I found the kitchen table. All the cupboards are full again and my wash baskets are empty. Just Meems and Mooms laundry to do now.
Christmas shopping done all but a few stocking fillers and some bedding I want for Moomins boyfriend.. he loves the teddy bedding and his auntie has a set so I am buying him some. He is 16 haha. Silly I know. I have done most of my mothers shopping so she owes me £170 which she is giving me in 2 weeks when she gets her christmas money. It would be so much easier if she saved it in my account than in some random 'savings' thing. She said to pay £20 or thereabouts for everyone so I've done £10-£15 so keep her debt down! I know she can't really afford £20.
I am going to meet my new niece, Evangeline on Monday. My sister lives in London so I've not met her yet.. but then I've not seen my sister for 8 years.
I bossed OH to put some stuff in the shed today so I reclaimed some house and I had him do 3 runs through the DW. I am so mean! To make things even meaner I made him ring his mother, haha.
I am a bit of a quandary.. OH had his blood pressure done on Friday and it was quite high.. 137/85 which as far as I am awar is 'pre-hypertensive' and very close to the 140/90 which is high bp requiring medication. Do I command him to go to the surgery to get it checked to keep an eye on it or do I leave it? His mother has a dodgy ticker and 3 of his grandparents died of heart disease.. but he isn't overweight, far from it and his resting heart rate is ok, but I'm not sure what to do. I think I might have him go and get that and his cholesterol checked and see what that all says. I don't think I am happy leaving it.
My 'to-do' list is growing so fast.

Morning all. Have had another lie in.
Going to do physio first, then once I'm dressed I'll continue with the village project. It seems drier today so I may get to clean the car.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning
Off to ride with my ladies cycling group this morning, don't really want to go, have not been for ages and a bit nervous about it which is silly. DS1 wants me to help him sort some things out of his bedroom cupboard which will likely mean a tip run - he is going to move back home and ask work if he can reduce his hours, no idea what he will do if they say no.
Thanks Pigpen if my experience of thyroid problems are anything to go by I would get OH to talk to the surgery about the blood pressure, I certainly wouldnt wait for the surgery to do something.
Catch you all later x0 -
Good morning
I am having a lie in today (again) while snuggling up with my geriatric cat. She is getting so skinny, but she still loves a cuddle. Obviously she loves me the most! :rotfl:
Yesterday my mum came down. We did a few bits in the garden - mainly emptying water from various containers. I emptied some of the compost bin (Lottie the hottie), but was disappointed because it was quite wet and smelly. It hasn’t been running on hot for that long (currently up to 60 degrees!), so hopefully it will improve. The trug full that I have can go in the allotment bin to rot down further. We then planned to repot a rose, but wanted some tulip bulbs. We downed tools to go out in search of those.
We went to the electrical superstore to sort out a new phone for mum, as it has a green diy store next door - or at least it did! After that we drove out of town to a gc - nice cup of tea and a bun later, no tulips! Headed home via the orange diy store - lots of bulbs, all half price! By that time it was raining & getting dark, so no more gardening :rotfl: Still, we had a nice day!
Flying wise, I emptied DW & restacked. WM on.
Today we have mil & sil over for dinner, and mum coming again (to plant up my pots!) I will feed her tooI think I need a list!
