    Morning all

Just finishing first cuppa before starting paid stuff, I stayed up really late last night and finished my book.... excellent read but I’m a bit tired this morning!! So far I have...

    Set WM swishing
    Tidied lounge
Put dishes away, DH was supposed to do this last night.... grrrr
    Fed cats and me
Litter trays emptied, washed, dried, refilled
Aired bedroom out and made the bed

I’m off out this evening, I should have an hour or so after paid stuff to fly, my sorting mission continues so that might be on the agenda for today.

Sun is shining here at the moment, I will also get out for a walk later on.

Have a lovely day all. Hugs to those in need xx

  • Good morning :D

I went AWOL at the weekend. Saturday I attended the AGM at the allotment society. That lasted nearly 2 hours, went round in circles and nearly kicked off at one point!! Interesting experience :rotfl: I then spent an hour or 2 pottering around my plot, and spreading the last of the poo!

When I got home I didn't do very much at all! Then in the early hour of Sunday I wasn't well :( That resulted in me spending the whole day in bed, getting up to have a shower, and then going back to bed. I felt sick, and my head hurt so bad I could have cried!

So, after about 17 hours sleep I am feeling a bit better today! I am up, showered and dressed in comfies (nothing I would go out in!). The bed has been stripped and is on a hot wash, DH is out with the dog & then I think we may catch up on last nights telly that I didn't have the energy to watch! I have had some toast, and I may have a 2nd slice!

I think today would be good day to catch up on some admin.

Good luck with inspection tomorrow Dizzy, I'm sure you will be fine. I know what it's like, as I get Ofsted and that is scary!

Hugs, sticks and spoons to those that need them. Have a good day everyone!
  • My playroom floor is done! The room is empty waiting to have pellet stove fitted and to be redecorated so I have taken the opportunity to strip the quarry tiles. Nasty chemical product spread on them and scrubbed, left for a few minutes then mopped off. Sadly mop broke half way through mopping so finished the rest by hand on my knees. But my lovely antique quarry tiles are looking better. They definitely need more attention but I now thnk that a couple more cleans and they should be good.

Off to visit a friend this afternoon for tea and cake, and another friend who I offered to take as she doesn't drive has accepted invite and offered me lunch. So off to get changed and go and enjoy myself. Will pick up a new mop on my way home.

Desperately need to be in. Last week’s manic clean has disappeared to nothing after a having a houseful over the weekend.

Still not sleeping for more than a couple of hours at a time. Working tomorrow at job 2 but hopefully there will be some time to tick some jobs off when I get in and before I have to take DD out again.

    Hugs all round, especially Dancemum.

Food shopping account opened.. I need to drag back the budgetting and OH is being commanded to transfer some money over (he pays for the car stuff and the food) and I will add a bit if necessary and everything will come out of that.. trying to decide how the cash bits like bread and milk will work but I WILL sort it.

fgs.. need to sort some poo.. literal.. poo

    poo dealt with
bins out.. bin day tomorrow and I have SOOOOOOOOOOOO much stuff to throw in them once they are empty. I don't even have room this week to empty the bathroom/wc bins.. and I have lots of packaging from christmas shopping to stuff in the recycling.

DW been on again so just dinner pots to go through.
    TD been on ALL day
WM x 4 done I have some bits to hang up and I need to get them both reloaded.

Bank account opened and food bill calculated.. we don't do bad really.. in the last 4 months we have averaged £650 a month for 7 adults and 4 children.. thats about £22.50 per person a week.. That is with cooking from scratch, meat/fish every day and the 4000 calories a day OH eats! .. Even I am impressed there.

4 bits listed on ebeast.. girls shoes I just found in my stash.. 2 Dot refused to wear and 2 Twinkle has outgrown already.. One I had intended to sell anyway but the second would fit her now but she already has a pair the same size and its silly having 2 pairs of shoes and boots too, one of each is plenty.

Now to do some gas/electric calculations and make some cutbacks there. Since DS1 turned up my gas has increased £10 a month and the electric £20.. based on last years Kwh usage.. thankfully I just switched me a tariff and have made a little saving there but itreally needs reining in. Not helped the last few weeks by the soggy weather. I am pretty certain we do NOT need this much liquid on our heads! It's a journey of discovery.. how many pairs of shoes I can bin because the blooming things leak!

Christmas presents restacked and reboxed and stacked a little more neatly and I found lots of forgotten things which are now stashed. Next job is to sort into boxes for each person to make wrapping easier.

Next year is about paying things off, after May.. the holiday needs to be paid for before the end of May so I will be focusing on that first.

Tonight I am feeling mostly organised.. tomorrow I will realise I am deluding myself because I cannot organise a bun fight in a cake factory haha!

    Ahhhh, bedtime....at last!

Kitchen was given the once over today, the dishwasher had it's monthly deep clean and recycling was all sorted ready for Wednesday.

Got a gripey tum over the Inspector's visit in the morning...:( I'm hoping he can see past the mud slick and paddy field to the comfortable and happy home I run (for dogs, anyway :rotfl:)

Finished printing a copy of my handbook of rules and regulations for him to take away and file Under B so I guess it's all in the lap of the gods now.

My good dead of the day was to take a client's very big Labrador to the vets for his annual mot and jabs. Silly thing was a huge quivering jelly by the time it was our turn and he very nearly dragged me back out of the door before I assumed the starfish pose and rucked up the carpet in reception to stop him. Good news is he has lost over two kilos since the summer, so our walks are having the desired effect, on him at least. My weight is best ignored this side of the New Year

'Night all - see you on the other side x
  • Morning

Good luck with the inspection today Dizzy. Just checking in, 12 hour day at the paid stuff yesterday so no flying done. Back to work shortly, house is not too much of a disaster thankfully.

DS feeling ill again, back at docs this morning.

Pigpen I am hoping that since DS2 went to Uni and DS1 officially doesnt live here any more our £90 a month for electric will come down, no change on direct debit yet though.

    Catch you all later x
