Had a look for the video I saw before, but haven't found it yet Ren!
SH, how thoughtful of DH. It will come into its own in time and you will know when's the right time to use it.
I lost my garlic and turned the flat upside down a few times looking for it. Nearly asked TomBo if he cooked it, but discounted that as it was in a typical garden bulb packet. Eventually found it in a vase 🤨 but it's been raining since I posted this morning and I didn't want them to rot while they bed in 🙈
I will get them planted soon!
Days are getting shorter and I'm going to need a head torch when I go outside soon.
My new SIM only contract is confirmed as starting this month. Will have part old / part new contract to pay this month (£20), then it's £10 a month.
Contemplating switching my shopping to A1D1 until L1d1 gets built / opens, will do a few more shops and see how I get on. There's a reason we don't at the moment 🤫
Started trying to do my surveys again. All of the available ones led to having an app on my phone, which I am not doing. Still got over £85 in points.
Had steak and veg for tea. Will be having yoghurt for pudding.

No worries Babs! Things are winding down now for planting, although I still have greens growing like chard and kale, the basil is still hanging on, and mint, although the parsley is looking past it....
Survey's sound excellent. I have sort of given up as I don't seem to be getting any more. They have realised I am penniless and have nothing useful to say! Ha!
Good deal on the SIM thing, and hopefully the rain will stop... although it's still going strong here... The garlic will get planted and you will be sitting on a heap of them next year. You know you put it in a 'safe place' & forget where, come to think of it, where did I put mine?

SH, the extra from doing the surveys is useful, I do tend to save them rather than cash in regular.
Ren, you need to change tactic with how you do them.
Thank you SW, somehow it hasn't yet rained, but at the same time hasn't dried off either.
Today was harvest some spuds day, got just over 7lb and some tiny ones to plant next year. Still got some spuds growing directly in the garden, which are not ready to harvest.
The greenhouse wasn't that warm today, therefore I do need to strip the tomatoes off. Will do that when I plant the garlic. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice 🤨
Not sure what's cooking at the moment, but I know we are having my spuds with it 😁
TomBo has been working on the monster tree stump again today, he is slowly winning!
Haven't anything planned tonight.

Spud-tastic! And the sun has finally made an appearance properly here too...
Tombo vs monster stump - he will get there. It sounds like the 'eat the elephant' task, one bite at a time...."...when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains however improbable, must be the truth..."

Lol Ren, he is taking a few slices off it.
Well, today was fun.
TomBo was due to work, but sadly my car decided to find some big nails. Can't believe how many garages were not able to do anything today / this week! I had to pop out to where he / the car was as he didn't feel comfortable driving it, I just got on with it and we managed to find somewhere that could sort the car out and left it with them.
I'm not sure how I managed the walk home or how I didn't burst out crying trying to do it. I had already done a fair bit of walking to get to him. Needless to say, I can barely walk around the flat and haven't been in the garden 😐
Got the car back this evening and the car pot is down £133, thankfully it wasn't the tyres I had replaced recently.
Got the MOT booked in for the 20th, I'm hoping it passes with no work.
Had pesto and pasta for tea.

You battled through Babs, and YOU sorted it,
sorry you are suffering the horrible after-effects though....
I hope you manage to rest up, and you know because you are organised, that at least you had the money to pay for it. Could've added to the pain if you hadn't...It sounds like the car should do well on the MOT now, 4 new tyres!
I would send Tombo out to the garden in disgraceto wreak havoc on the tree stump (rather than the car tyres!), and say he isn't to come in until there's another chunk off! Ha!

Thanks Ren. I would like a new body today!
He took himself off to the garden today, not sure what he was up to, but will find out later.
When he was leaving for work I suggested he look around the floor area before getting into to car and do the same before returning from work 😉
Just finishing off the leftover pasta and pesto from last night. The pesto is ok, but quite dry, there wasn't any oil in it like I've had before in jar pesto. I won't be buying the 'expensive' one from A1d1 again.
Hopefully, the weather will stay how it's looked all day as I'm planting the garlic and removing the tomatoes after work. I've already written off the peppers as a bad job this year. TomBo can then deal with the plants and strip the greenhouse down tomorrow.
Aside from that it will be feet up and reading my magazines later.
I cooked spicy tomato and lentil soup yesterday, just need to reheat it and put the garlic bread in the oven.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
The garlic is in 😀 tough things they were to split the bulbs into segments and didn't like to bang it of the chopping board in case I damaged them. Smelt really nice, so if the parent bulbs are an indication as to what the baby bulbs will be like, I'm in for a treat next year. Potentially got 35 garlic popping up next year!
Stripped my tomatoes off, got just over 750g. They were a steady supply, rather than a load at once, which was good. Some more had ripened, so I added them to my soup.
- I cut down all the plants and composted them.
Need to look at the peppers tomorrow, see if they are viable or if they've been nibbled on. If they are fine, I will cut them off and bring them in as I feel I'm pushing my luck with the weather and the risk of them getting eaten.
Arranged to have a few hours away from my desk when it's MOT day, as I can't book any proper time off work at the moment. Hopefully I will have enough time to get to the garage, have the MOT and get back home again within 2 hours.
I'm still in loads of pain, but trying to potter around. Stairs are a huge issue 😂
Tomorrow I'm going to see SIL, mini me and the furballs. Have to take some greens over with me and I get to take strawberries away. TomBo gave me SIL's number and we've been messaging every day.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3
