£300 odd out of £690 (46% we get back)
Not great and my own fault for not keeping a copy of the handwritten inventory as that would have meant the £400 I hoped for. I trusted the LA as they were fair when we moved from the rental before that.
They were claiming for damage left by the previous tenants and thankfully I had photos to show some of it!
Just goes to prove why I dislike renting.

When the leftovers are back, OH will be ordering the compost and manure to get the main growing section ready for next year.

Had the old flat electric refund arrive today. Can you believe they sent 3 separate cheques to refund just under £61. I've used my cheque imaging thing for my one bank and they should be cleared Friday.
Aside from chippy night (£12), OH told me keep the rest when I said I would transfer it to him.

We went to a1d1 today, got 2 bags of compost, 4 pack of beer, food and stuff for our trips £48 for 45 items 😯 (OH paid) I may start doing the shopping alone if this is what he spends each time he goes!

It's blue sky and sunshine today. Lunch is settling and then we are going to do some gardening. It would be great if we could get the monster stump out this week.

Tomorrow we are going to Loch?????, I asked a few times but still never managed to understand what he said 😂 water and hills apparently, which should be fun; will charge up my camera batteries later and have a quick read of the manual as I can't remember how to set it so the photo briefly pops up on the screen after it's taken.

Migraine is an irritant today, should be gone tomorrow.

£12 in the bank, 9 days until payday.

  • Enjoy your day out tomorrow 😊 We have pouring rain in the south today ☔️

  • Thank goodness you got some of your deposit back. That situation wouldn't have been helping the migrane. You can, at least, now draw a line under it. Have a lovely time at the Loch.

Thank you Skinty, we were supposed to have rain all week.

Welcome Noaidi, I can draw a huge line under it when the money is in and spent on our home 🤭

Been planting up the mint and celery today, recycled all the compost bags and helped OH move some soil from the monster stump; very ambitious thinking that will be out this week.
I'm finding it a lot harder to clear the soil compared to when I did the little stumps. Cat is more agile than the two of us now 🙈

Got a tub ready for when the m0rr1s0ns mint has a few more roots and I'm going to tidy up the patio (again) this week. Feels like a losing battle until the whole garden is organised!

Decided to buy some folding deck chairs at some point. Cheap and easy to store in the coal shed over winter. It's the metal framed, canvas material ones I'm after.

Will be trying to water everything later, when the sun has gone down.

Not sure what we are having for tea, but pudding will be apple crumble yoghurt.

Me too, migraine is awful. I hope you get a decent chunk of the deposit back and a nice electric refund. It's horrid when work is like that but hopefully it will pass soon. Just focus on the paydays like I do! I hope you had a good day.

Thank you SW, I'm not the type of person who works for money, I have to like my job, which isn't happening! Trying not to think about it due to being on holiday, although I was contacted first thing which really annoyed me.

Had pork and veg for tea.

We had a really nice explore today, went to the Highlands and OH took a wrong turn so we didn't end up at the planned destination. Found a river and woodlands, had lunch and started to go home. Stopped off at a different Loch to stretch and take a few photos.

Both of us are very tired, had chippy night and will be resting this evening 😊

Thank you ladies, I branched out and had fishcake and chips last night, was a broken woman when I found out they don't do salt 'n' sauce over this way (brown sauce and vinegar).

The Highlands (southern part) were only a few hours away. Not sure when we will go again but hopefully this year 🤗

Been sofa bound today and I wasn't even the one driving. Finding it quite scary how things are leaving me so exhausted and in more pain. I could understand it if I pushed myself doing loads of walking, but in total it was only about as much as going round a supermarket!

OH has been pottering around the garden, plus the neighbours gardens and watered the veg for me.

Moved a bit of money to savings.
£6 in the bank, 7 days until payday.

Roast pork and veg for tea tonight, yoghurt for pudding.
